I tried it a couple of days ago, unplug at 29min and plugged back again immediately after, was able to get another free session.
I wonder if there is some EA software glitch that thinks the charging session got interrupted or something, like I said I had that happen when I tried moving over one charger (no one else on any of the three other chargers) the first time I used my free 30 minute session.

I tried EA for the first time yesterday -- they EA station recognized the car upon plug-in and was able to charge without any other login. I assume it looks at VIN.
I've been annoyed that the Apple Wallet card EA provided doesn't work to start charging, I have to go to the app and tell it to start. That said, would be cool if it recognizes the car and doesn't need any interaction with phone at some point.

Maybe it just doesn’t enforce the cool down period when you stop the charge before the end of the 30min session?

I used a 350kW EA charger yesterday. The session was only 23 minutes but I got charged for it! Has anyone else had this problem?
You need to redeem/activate free charging in the app/your account. It will show up under Plans and Payment that you're enrolled in 2 years free 30 minute charging and set as default payment. Note that if you charge over 30 minutes you will be charged overage automatically. Charging does not stop by itself at 30 minutes.

I just noticed on my screenshot that it says Maximum Power Level: 250kW... I used a 350kW charger, I supposed that could have been my problem. Has anyone else used a 350kW charger and NOT been charged?
Yeah I did. Are you sure you were charged? during my charging session, it was showing a cost, but then at then at the end it indicated that the cost of charging was nullified by the offer.

I don't think so, I went to two EA 350kW chargers yesterday and both were free.

My free charging took a couple days to start working even though the app said it was activated. I had to email customer support twice to get refunded. Then it just started to work!
Well, I guess that answers it. Thank you! I will contact EA and see if I can get a refund.

How did you email them? Through the app?

No, you can't use Electrify America with Chargpoint, two competing charger networks. Why would you think you could?
Because some do have roaming agreements and it's something the industry is trying to work towards, but Electrify America is a laggard in that area. ChargePoint can start an EVgo charge session and vice versa, for example, but neither of those will work with Electrify America for the moment.

Through the app worked for me. Same day refund.

They also suggested me call before I start a charge so they can activate it for free and avoid the payment manually on their end. But I found that to be a pain to get on the phone when I wanted to charge.

So I just had them refund me post charge then my plan kicked in and zoooooooooooooom. Get those free KW.
