It's been 2,5 months since the coolant loop was flushed and the liquid was swapped. So far so good, no warning at all. I was pushing the car a little bit this weekend, needed some 120km trips, highways only. When outside temp rises above 20C one can get really nice consumption figures. but I was doing 140km/h GPS which was some 145 on speedo. Cannot confirm if it was because the flush&swap but the problem I mentioned elsewhere (getting turtle and restricting power while climbing uphill) hasn't occured either. Might be connected.
Sorry to hear that for some the procedure did not work, fingers x-ed !

Mines going in tomorrow for the flush.

Weirdly on a link they sent for managing my booking it had estimated charges. GLWT.

Anyone know what 10GC41 is?

Nope, not familiar with that code. I had the swap and flush done during normal 1-year maintenance check and it was free of charge, paid only for the 1-year check.

I was hoping the light coming on only once since the fix might have been the last of it. Unfortunately the light came back on again today. Call to the dealership Monday to see what they intend doing next.

Coolant flushed and filtered and refilled with BSC-2 in February 2023. No further error message but I went to check the screen wash today and the coolant is now below the minimum level when it was at Maximum when I got it back in February. Call to the garage on Monday I think but I fear this has not been fixed or it could have been air in the system maybe which is what I am hoping. What is concerning though is no 'refill coolant message' and the coolant is below the minimum level.

Mine done last Thursday and no issues since then except they have massively overfilled it. The car is on an incline forward but it's above the max level by about half a centimetre. Will see if that settles or they just checked a bit extra in for good measure.

Adding to this topic, I've had this "refill coolant" light come on also. Now, my coolant was a little below the "MIN" line and when I had my car in for service they topped it up to the "FULL" line. Now, this warning is on and staying on. Fluid is still full in the reservoir. I am having it in for service this Friday.

I've had the Refill coolant problem for 2 years at least and I thought the last flush might be the one that works as Keema used a new bit of kit to flush the system and refilled with new coolant but the warning returned after just 2 weeks and a few hundred kilometres. That was the 9th flush so now its time to ask for a full refund. Can anyone help with the process of recouping the purchase price in Australia as I believe it can be lengthy? Also any ideas of posting my email address privately to you on this forum?
Thanks
Joey 2022

Hi Joey sorry it hasn't been rectified. @sarahbower1 apparently returned her car.

See this post about what you need to do under Australian Consumer Law. And call you states consumer rights agency, they can't intervene initially but can offer good advice.

Write to you dealer say you would like a refund because under consumer law they have not rectified the defect in a timely fashion It helps to have a time line of what happened when. I believe they won't offer full purchase price because of time owned and miles driven.

Of course the light is not on when I take it to the dealership. 5 days straight it comes on, sometimes not immediately, but comes on nonetheless. Now nada. Maybe it will come on after they drive it for a little, however they should clearly be aware of this issue either through TSBs or other complaints.

Yes that's typical, but as the fault is now a campaign (Campaign code: 20D140) when they connect their consult tool it should show up as a recommended action.

Do we know if there is a DTC tied to this warning light? That should also help identify if the light remains off

When I took mine in I asked what happens if they can't reproduce it and they said becuase it's a campaign they just go ahead and do it. Didn't even need to see all the shots I took of it.

Car topped up to maximum level on Friday, no sign of any leaks according to garage. 190 mile round trip Saturday inc a single 20 min rapid charge and dropped 1cm below max already. Will see how it goes next month when I have a 700 mile round trip to do and plenty of rapid charging.

So it sounds like the "fix" is somewhat inconclusive. I have 2 questions - first, am I right in that if you switch the car off & on again, the message clears and you're able to drive as normal? i.e. you could drive this way for some length of time?? Second, would this "bug" and "fix" put you off if you were a prospective buyer today?

When my coolant was replaced in January the reservoir level was above MAX - now, 6 months later, the level is below MIN.
The last time I talked to my nearest Hyundai garage (only 15 miles away) was when I asked them to take a look at my 'Low coolant warning' - and they offered to 'look' for an upfront ÂŁ140. I chose to contact Hyundai Technical who took the car away and did the work in Tilbury.
I wish I had access to a garage I trusted.

1st time I got the warning, my level was slightly below min, so dealer simply topped it up there & then , no cost, when I went in to report it. Ok, that didn't fix the problem, so campaign was applied later, but while your level's dropping there may be some air bubbles getting worked out, so why not simply get dealer to top it up & see how it goes.
