I also went back to Hyundai UK on twitter after the dealer gave me the info , they then went away and confirmed it is at sea and is due to dock on 2/8 and gave me a VIN. Not sure what they have been looking at before.

Welcome to the roller coaster of emotions of anxiously awaiting the car. Hyunday and Perry got 1 more week of quiet time till i start asking "is it there yet?"

Looks identical to mine. Ultimate shooting star grey???

Definitely seeing more popping up around the place
Yep happy with the colour and car. I think Perry's rushed it out to me, or maybe I was calling them up every other day.
Still haven't got my Tusker pack with floor mats I hope they are all weather if not I will buy a set.
I havent had much time due to work but today remove about 5 pieces of white plastic deliveries which were jammed against the edges.
Stopped the seat beat rattle
Ordered some autoglym products
Ordered black screen bezel
Shame keys are not tied to profiles
Car was delivered with 99% juice
Going for a long drive tomorrow only 20miles on the clock.
Hope everyone get their cars soon

Least they could do after it was in the docks for so long imo! I think ours were on the same boat and I'm still at least a few weeks away from getting the car!.

Same colour and spec (and interior based on the bezel you ordered) as yours too, so will need to work out how to keep the finish looking good - are you using the autoglym products with a pressure washer?

Enjoy the drive!

Never having had a Matt car before i was a bit dubious about the finish staying nice but have been really impressed. Not treated with anything special just some generic beading finish stuff a couple of times but not looking dirty really and I've done 3500 miles since April (we drove to Germany and back).

I washed once carefully with some snowfoam but kept a decent distance with the pressure washer, and mine is fairly feeble. Inside the door sills seem to get pretty filthy, almost dirtier then anything else. Wheels stayed very good. We have the light interior and any marks are easy to wipe off

Never owned a matte colour. Read on this site about people using autoglym snow foam and shampoo and just wipe.
Ordered an autoglym snowgun to connect to my portable pressure washer.
I think around 8 weeks in the dock.

Think the captain of the ship my car is on is just trolling me now lol. Should have been at Tilbury on the 25th June, but for some reason it when on a European tour first. I saw it was on its way to Tilbury last night, but now its at a place called Sunk Deep Water in the North Sea ( I know it's a mooring point but an interesting name) and been there all day and is not on the Tilbury expected arrival at the moment.

So.... my car isdue to arrive in port tomorrow. Do you guys know what ship might arrive in the next couple of days? and if it has?
imagining scenarios with timescales.... maybe 1 week in port...maybe 1 week with the dealer...and i get it soon soon

But ,could go other way badly too...

Do you know when your car was built? My Car arrived on Friday at Tilbury, and my car was built 20th May. My dealer has told me that they should have the car around the 17th July, so only at Tilbury for 10 days (we'll see about that). They then mentioned they have to speak to lease company to receive the pack, number plates etc which according to them will take a week or two.

Finally had some good news, car in transit and due to dock at Tilbury on the 17th July, got the VIN number and chased up Johnson's fleet to request the vehicle as soon as possible, delivery late August and early September potentially, we will see.

Production completed on 02/06/23 and expected on the 12th this month.

So could be on the Asian Captain, that left Ulsan just after that date. Looks like it arrives in Portugal on the 13th, then Scheduled to arrive at Tilbury on the 17th. You can ask Hyundai on twitter more info regarding which ship etc.

So Hyundai didnt want to confirm the ship...but its likely thats what it is. With the order number for track my hyundai OTD, from error not recognized number, to confirm email address sent code (which i can tell its perrys) so it must be close to hitting the docks
Now i need patience to wait for it.... still fingers crossed for end of the month, maybe.

Got my confirmation of delivery date for my Ioniq 5, its scheduled for delivery sometime on the 9th August, could of been the 8th but I'm busy then. That's pretty much a month from arriving at Tilbury to delivery to me.

That's great news, mine was on the same ship so hoping of a quick turnaround, spoke with Johnson's Fleet and Hyundai UK, fingers crossed

Mine was delivered a few days ago. Really enjoying it so far, had previously only driven a 12 year old manual fiesta, so quite a big adjustment to this. Took longer than I'd like to admit to work out you should use your right foot to brake and gave the neighbours a few laughs trying to fit in on my driveway.

Anyone knows if there is a busy period or not at Tilbury? Car arrived on the 17th there, and i have been pestering Perrys since.
As of yesterday, its still undergoing its checks, and they dont know when they can get it from the docks.

Anybody else that had their car on Asian Captain and got it already?
