No further issues to report on the DAB radio - guess it was just a glitch.
One minor issue - the Map is reported as "RUS" in the version screen, which I think is expected without some tweaking of files. I'm not sure what tweaks are actually required to resolve that.

It's easy. Take out your SD card and plug it into the pc.
Locate these 2 bin files and open it with notepad.
Edit the RUS to EUR and save

I think they were either misinformed or lying - it's from 2016! I don't particularly want to drive the 75 miles to take it back to make them update it or pay £40 to have it done locally so thought doing it myself sounded ideal. Problem is none of the google drive links work, I keep getting the message that too many people have downloaded the links lately!

Has anyone got an alternative link or a torrent for the 8" files I need?

I did have an ioniq 2017 model on PCH but had to give it back at the end of last year. One of the reasons I went for the Kia is because it was almost identical with the controls plus has a 7 year warranty!

you have to login to your google account before downloading. then it will bypass the limitation

Make sure that you are signed in to your Google account in order to access the google links to the file.

I signed up to this forum with the google account - and the links worked. Well I never!

I am sure that the maps are tied to the software updates - so if you were to update that, your present maps would not work and you would get an error message on your screen.

i can see you one of the d2v units.

thats not part of the free self updater tool :/
this can only be updated at the dealer. IF there is a new update.
and the update for d2v units is not so frequent as the other headunits
