I just received the hitch from www.srgattacheremorque.com today and it looks good. i will take some pictures or maybe even do a video of the install as i go through either this weekend or next.
If you want some help let me know. If you need a dry space to install, I have space with a pit ;)

As a dealership I would not be happy with Hyundai corporate for not having OEM tow package and roof rack system for me to sell.
I don't know about other countries, but a roof rack isn't even an option is it, in the sense that the design of the roof doesn't allow for a 'native' roof rack, right ? That is, it doesn't have the gutter or track or whatever it is called where a roof rack would be installed, does it ? (The yakima type systems that clip in to the door is not an option I want - I had one of those systems stolen years ago)

Thats great but really crappy on them for telling many of us in emails they had no intention of making a hitch for the Ionic 5. I’ll keep my Torklift order even with a cut into the bumper especially since it’s cheaper.

They probably underestimated the popularity of this vehicle for sure. With the stealth, the trade-off is less ground clearance when it is in use, not sure if that would be a problem. Would be nice to get in on the Torklift pre-sale discount. But so nice to be able to remove for a nice clean look. However, I use my bike rack much less than you guys, who probably keep the bike rack almost permanently.

I hope to own an Ioniq 5 in the next few months. But I want to make sure I can attach my Rocky Mounts bike rack on the car. It uses a 2” receiver to mount to the back. Does anyone know if there is a receiver type hitch for this car?
I saw a post on Reddit r/Ioniq5 about this company Stealth Hitches and they are developing an Ioniq 5 hitch. Click here: Stealth Hitches - The Hitch Made to be Hidden

I am very interested in what you think of this product. I saw the website, and their installation instructions were only in French! I did contact them and asked for an English version. Is this something that is difficult to install? I am not terribly experienced with cars myself.

i did my best as a translation and will try to install next weekend for more feedback
INSTALLATION:
1: Remove the bumper cover.
2: Remove the bolts under the vehicle image 4.
3: Unscrew the original bolts as indicated on the image 1.
4: Remove the two bolts from picture 2 keep the bolts.
5: Put the hitch in place öx the hitch with the bolts provided.
6 Remove the central support from the photo bumper 3.
7: for model 20085 do a cutout of 3.5” in the center of the piece under the vehicle photo 5. (for the 20085 mt model make a 2.5” cutout in the center of the piece.)
8 Refit the bumper .

I assume all manufacturers will use the factory mount locations to bolt on to. The only difference will be the location and size of the bumper cutout. If you don't require any electrical harness requirements, then you are good to go. If not, you will have to wire the electrical harness (not sure if aftermarket harness is any different), and you can follow these instructions...

Is there a quick guide - instruction sheet, on how to remove the rear bumper cover?

The tow hitch manufacturer should have instructions included, or I'm sure YouTube videos from an I5 user soon. But here is the pdf of the oem hitch install. Doesn't really show how to remove bumper though, says to refer to tech literature.

Like many of you, I've been searching for a receiver hitch for my Ioniq 5 in the USA and have come up empty handed. The most common rack suppliers, Draw-Tite and Curt, have hitches for the previous Ioniq models, but nothing for the 5. U-Haul too has nothing currently for sale and apparently doesn't have one in the works.

Stealth Hitches indicates that they're some six weeks (as of 3/15/22) from having theirs ready and that it will be priced similarly to their Tesla 3 products, which are >$500. More info here.

Torklift Central is preparing a 2" receiver hitch (part number x74IONs) to begin shipping in April for $370; information here. A 2" receiver, from my experience, is the best choice for carrying bikes and occasionally hauling a light trailer. An inexpensive adaptor will allow the use of lighter duty bike racks with 1-1/4" "tongues", while a 2" receiver will allow heavier loads. This is the most promising offering I'm seeing yet.

If you, like I, think $370 plus shipping, or more, is excessive for a conventional trailer hitch, please contact Draw-Tite, Curt, and or any hitch manufacturer you prefer, and ask when they'll have a hitch for our Ioniq 5s. Perhaps if we create a groundswell of these inquiries, one of these companies will be motivated to produce a hitch priced below $300 like those for established car models.
