Anyone who has received the Stealth Hitch, how big is the box it comes in? Will it fit in the back of the car without lowering the rear seats?

I honestly can’t remember but I would doubt it given the main bar is one piece and pretty much is most of the width of the car (though I’m sure stealth will tell you the box length). Alternative option is to to put it in the foot well in the back - that way folks can still sit but maybe somewhat uncomfortable

Just a bit of a further update on my stealth install. I went back to clean up my cutting on the gravel guard and also picked up some door trim of amazon to put over the edge where you need to put your hands in to use the lock on one side and “set” the hinge ready for adapter insertion on the other - I definitely recommend it if your getting the stealth makes it much less likely to graze your hand on the cut plastic when operating the hitch

Also I discovered a mistake in stealths instructions on the cutting of the guard. It says to cut two tabs off the guard DO NOT DO THAT. Instead the tabs are on the inside of the actual bumper piece, I’ve let them know so hopefully they will update the instructions

Here’s a couple more pics one of the cut out and bike rack in use

@andyfase I was able to score the RockyMounts Backstage and it looks like you have a MonoRail here. Have you experienced any rubbing in the stowed position since the rack fits so closely?

Not yet. Yes its the MonoRail, I have around an inch of gap when its folded, but there isnt that much movement so I dont see it rubbing at all tbh, more likely the bike pedal might when loaded if your not careful.

For those who ordered the Stealth Hitch in BC, did you order directly or have it shipped to somewhere in the States?
I got it direct I asked them re a Point Roberts delivery but they said it would be the same cost and then you have to pay double taxes (Washington and BC when you bring it over)

I hope to own an Ioniq 5 in the next few months. But I want to make sure I can attach my Rocky Mounts bike rack on the car. It uses a 2” receiver to mount to the back. Does anyone know if there is a receiver type hitch for this car?
I found this at etrailer today. I can't vouch for it, but am actively researching same need.

I have a Curt trailer hitch for the Ioniq5, new in box willing to sell for $200. Got it a few months ago hoping my wife would say ok to having it installed on her I5 but plans and needs have changed. I’m in Santa Clarita, CA if anyone local is interested.

Put a table together to help summarize the findings in this thread, but need help to complete it from those who have the hitch or confirmed 100% some other way.
Thanks to everyone supplying details so far.
This is for 2" hitches only, so no OEM hitch.

I just reviewed the manuals from UHaul for the Curt and Draw-Tite and the Curt install requires a cut in the trim but the Draw-Tite does not show any cut required (and the Draw-Tite is $315 vs the Curt at $240).

But there is also another thread that says the Drat-Tite is defective... has that been addressed?

I watched the Ioniq Guy's install of a TorkLift hitch a couple of times then pulled the trigger and bought the product. TorkLift recommended a nearby installer (Imagine Audio in Cherry Hill, NJ). TorkLift sent me the hitch from WA in about five days. Install took 4-hours as it was the first Ioniq 5 they'd done. I didn't need electrical connection as this is only for bicycle transport. Here's the result:

Folks, looking for some advice. My I5 is being bought back due to electrical issues, but we'll buy another I5. This means I need to have my Stealthitch uninstalled and possibly reinstalled on a new one. The shop that did the original install for me says this will cost me about $800 of labor though because of an uninstall and new install. So it's basically the price of the original purchase and install (original part + original install was ~$900). Any advice on something I'm not thinking of to make this more efficient/cheaper?

SoCal,
If you're from Southern California, then we are from the same country. Except I live in Maine, which maybe from your perspective is another country, especially since you have sunny beaches and warm breezes and we have gray skies and ice storms (at least this time of year). And yes, our Ebikes weigh a ton. Mine is actually 50 lbs (a Bulls Grinder EVO) and my wife's is 40 lbs (a Trek Allant+). We ride a lot locally, but also like to head out and try rides further away. My 1Up platform rack needs a 2-inch receiver, period. I hope Hyundai is smart enough to accommodate!
Sorry for following up on an old thread. I'm pretty much on the same boat as you. Going with 1 up which is actually made pretty close to where I am at. Looking for a receiver to get it set up. Eco hitch and curt are the 2 viable options right now i guess, any suggestions?

I installed the Torklift mount a year and a half ago and so far it's fine. The instructions the manufacturer provided were unbelievably incomplete. If a friend and I weren't good with tools and head scratching and a moderate amount of cussing, I would have sent it back.

A person who installs hitches as their job would probably have had an easier time of it.
