If red is what you seek and one that looks like it is similar to Mazda’s red, maybe wander over to the Kia EV6.

It's under consideration. Don't really like the look of the vehicle (particularly the rear end and that weird wraparound lightbar) though. I intend to test drive a bunch of options when the time comes.

Guess you were a Knight Rider fan. I built and sold the front end and the scan light. Scanned exactly like the TV one. I had a customer that built the dash with the electronics and the steering wheel just like the one on TV. 10 NAVY guys in Norfolk, every Sunday (if possible) lined up there cars and ran the lights while having breakfast at a strip mall.

Anyone else think that the black trim looks better than silver?
Much better. I would actually like to have them in the body color, but black is better. Then I choose body color black so the trim doesn't make too much visual noise.
But is it even possible to have that combination?

I'd like body color too, as the car sits low enough to look like a hatch. I don't know if someone mentioned it already, but I think the black cladding is on the Euro cars at lowest spec.

Gotta say, the 19s look really good though. I'm almost thinking better than the 20s (or maybe that's my brain because it knows the range is greater with 19s)

I think the wheel trims are awful, definitely with white, black or any non-gray or silver/gold color.
My brother once said the white one looks like it's wearing a diaper :D

I saw an unofficial rendering of the IONIQ 5 N:

(ignore the red color and picture it in matte Gravity Gold)
The wheel trims and door trims are all in body color. That's clean and calm. Doesn't even look that sporty.
Add to that chrome window trims and that would be a dramatically good looking car in my opinion.

Already checked into a color change. Quoted $12,000.00 informed you can forget about the factory warranty. It requires basically pulling the body off of the chassis do do a complete repaint. As for the solar panel. it is really meant to keep the 12 volt battery fully charged. I will be getting it along with any factory options that they will offer.
You kmow you could always get the car wrapped in whatever color or scheme you can imagine for $3000.

The Tesla white was one of the arguments in favor of the I5 when I compared the IONIQ 5 vs TESLA MODEL Y... :
Tesla great job, max speed, range especially leveraging its shape and weight. Still prefer, being in Europe, comfort. 99% of my trips are within 200kms one way. With the Hyundai IONIQ 5, I do look forward to ventilated seats, Android Auto, the roomy and comfortable interior, and HUD. Also like reclining seats with foot rest and reclining console for arms rest, all electronic aids especially against collisions, automated parking (Executive version), blind spot cams on dashboard when turning, V2L, sun shades integrated in back doors, electric sunroof shade, wide space available inside with good visibility through the back window etc.
And the obviously efficient 400V to 800V internal battery inverter for fast charging.
Other bugs with Tesla : Model 3 too low on the ground (Model Y is a perfected Model 3); door handles too complicated for kids and scratchy with persons with long finger nails; blue jeans bleed on those too white seats.; simplistic navigation system(whereas under ANDROID AUTO : ABRP beta notably has settings for car weight, or TomTom Go 's use of all offline maps and charging stations etc. ); quality of paint jobs ; mediocre internal lighting; loud alerts and other things not so compatible with family driving.
Also 5 year car warranty illimited kms (Max 80 000 for Tesla... Reliability issues?), and 8 year battery warranty (same as Tesla).

Comment by Park Shawn translating from Korean to English this video :
Ionic 5 LR and Model Y LR both have similar spec including weight, battery sizes. Details can be found on google. Here are some highlights from the conclusion they brought up at the end of the video. 1. Both car's AVG speed were about 100KM/h (Highway drive) 2. Both car's A/C and other convenience functions(like Highway drive assistance for Ionic 5, Auto Pilot for Model Y and etc.) were always on during the test. 3. 4 drivers drove about 100km per person and checked the remaining battery at designated location. 4. Both car have shown slightly poor battery performance than usual because of the weather condition (rain) 5. By just looking at the specification, Model Y can drive 141km more than Ionic 5. However the actual drive test have shown that the difference were only about 60~70km. This experiment have shown that IONIC 5's driving range is little longer than what Hyundai advertised. 6. They have concluded that both Ionic 5 and Model Y can drive from Seoul to Busan. The distance between those two cities are about 350km. Hope this helps.

Too short for me, unfortunately. (6'3". Barely enough space in base trim, sunroof would kill me)
