2020 Hyundai Ioniq Plugin hybrid will not charge. I had it on an extension cord. It is showing a red fault icon and a red car icon when plugged into the car. Also after removing it from the cord it still shows the error on the charger. HELP

Have you tried changing the charge rate from high (the default I think) to medium or low?

Can you try charging without the extension cord?

Can you try a different outlet?

If its a new car have you ever successfully charged at home with the included charge cord?

Do you plug the cord into the outlet first, then plug the charge cable into the car?

I tried charging after changing the rate with same results.
The first charge was successfully at home and second and my job.
I connected the cord into the outlet first then the car.
I am unable at the moment to connect without an extension cord. But at my job I can. I will try again in the morning at my work place.

Thanks

Here's my problem.
I've bought a spare Hyundai Ioniq granny charger and it has worked fine for a few charges, I noticed the other day that it hadn't charged the car fully when I went out for a drive, when I returned yesterday I plugged it in and it wasn't working at all, and was showing a Red Warning Triangle, and just below that a Triangle was a 10A symbol, I brought it into work today and plugged it in the normal socket that I always use and it still wouldn't work, However now the red triangle has gone but the Green 10A symbol is still there but still not working/charging.
The thing is I still have the original charger that came with the car and that works fine at the home socket and the works socket, so I think it is safe to say there is nothing wrong with the sockets in the two locations.
Has anyone ever fixed this fault with the lead without having to replace the charger ? under warranty I'm assuming,
I've pressed the black button on the rear of the charger box and all that does is go through 6A/8A then back to 10A it should read H (in a box) and below that "LEVEL" as in the second photo, then + Blue when plugged into car

I bought a 2022 Ioniq Plug-In three days ago. First time I tried to charge it at home using an extension cord, it worked -- although it stopped at 94%. Today I tried to charge it (battery at 53%) and at first it seemed to be working. Then, a few minutes later, the charger showed the blinking red triangle with the exclamation mark, "fault", and the red blinking icon of the car. I tried unplugging everything. Car in Park, doors unlocked... and the flashing red "fault". Tried plugging the charger directly into the outlet, tried changing it from 12A to 10A to 8A (long press of the button under the charger). It's going to the dealer tomorrow to see what's up.

Follow-up to my charging: It works reliably now, using a heavy-duty extension cord plugged in to an outside standard outlet. My brother calls it "filling a bathtub with an eye dropper" -- six to seven hours to charge the battery -- but it sure beats paying for gas.
Yes indeed. And it beats paying whatever $800 to get an install a level 2 charger to speed things up to the blistering rate of 3.3 kw the PHEV can accept.
But hey- to each their own. If you can get by with charging it overnight and letting it chug along on the level 1, do it for as long as you can because paying more to get the same outcome- why bother.
IF however for some reason you really did need to have it charged up in 2.5 hours, that's a different story and going level 2 could make sense, but otherwise you're doing fine.

12 amp, but 120 volt here in North America. 12 amps is the maximum continuous draw allowed on a 15A breaker/outlet under the US and Canadian electrical codes. Buying a Level 2 charger for the PHEV makes a lot more sense for us here than it does for those in 240V countries.
