Has anyone bought an Electric Plus in Ontario or even in Canada?

I had to order one because the dealer didn't have one and is having a hard time finding one and I gave them 4 color choices to speed things up (White being my first choice). I went shopping in Toronto thinking I could get my hands on one faster. The dealer called yesterday saying they have ordered it (I forgot to ask if he meant looking for one or ordered it from the factory in Korea).

I went and test drove a Hybrid and ordered the Electric Plus because I wanted a PHEV and the Ioniq feels right in the driver's seat.

Thank you

I have noticed some dealers place adv with vin # on cargurus a week or so before the cars arrive GTA.
My observation was limited to EV last Dec-Jan period.
It might be easier to make a deal then. Supply might be limited but the number of buyers is small too, so it seems in Ontario.

"Electric Plus"?

Now, as promised by the South Korean automaker, the plug-in hybrid edition arrives to join the lineup. And, as brightly advertised on Hyundai Canada’s website, the model is getting the “Electric plus” designation.
The new model is not a better-equipped electric IONIQ, nor one with a longer range; rather it is actually a plug-in hybrid that can be driven up to 47 km on electric power alone.

Plus a PLUG, I guess...

...Why they didn't call it Electric PHEV, lawd noze.
Same number of letters and everything.

And the most common mnemonic for that branch of the family tree.

I did. Bought at end of Jan in the GTA —bought on a weekend and delivery was available in the colour I wanted (they only had the electric blue at the dealership) a few days later so I picked it up within the week.

I got one in Markham at the end of January. Just from checking dealer sites that week I noticed there were a couple available throughout the GTA.
Can you tell me how much you paid for it? I am looking to buy a phev se and want to know how much are the dealers willing to negociate.

Update

I received a phone call today from the dealer I bought from (my salesperson called me) and they said that they looked around the GTA for about 2 days then ordered mine from the factory so apparently they did order the Polar White Limited for me. The salesperson said they will ask on Tuesday for the status of the car then email me (said they would call but I suggested emailing me since it's not something I need to respond to). The salesperson called me in response to an email I sent Thursday night that had links to GTA dealers with the Polar White Limited supposedly in stock.

This car is my second brand new car and the first that is low demand and one that had to be ordered. My current car which is my first brand new car which I bought right off the lot and picked it up 2 days after buying it.

Purchase price was CAD $48903.29 - after rebate which the dealer is handling $40808.29 (so in a way this is my price - includes Tinted windows, Vehicle Armour aka 3m hood protector and something else, key replacement, vin# etching aka theft deterrent, tire & rim road hazard, all warranties brought up to 8 years/160,000 km). My car is being financed for 84 months at 3.65% and it was brought down to that percent because I currently own a Hyundai. If you want a lower interest rate reduce the term.

I have never bough extended warranty. Never found the time to read the fine print.
I have been lucky never had any big problem with the cars I had that I would wish I had bought one.
I did have a gasket leak with a pontica extended mini van; coolant leaks into the engine, a $2700 repair job 10 years ago.
GM took care of it even though it was out of warranty as it was a known problem.
These electric cars might be different...I just didn't go for it.
The hyundia dealer asked me to buy extended warranty total 8 times (2 persons tag team) in 4 occasions.
The last 2 times was when I took delivery of the car; the last offer was $1000 off $2700 initial offer.
I have no idea what extended warranty is worth! My sister-in-law bought a subaru impreza 4 months ago.
She paid $600 for the extended warranty...yes...6 hundreds...4 years on top of subaru's 3 years, total 7 years warranty.
My wife do know the brother of the subaru dealer's general manager though.

Good to know the PHEV/Electric-Plus is finally being sold and delivered in Ontario. I've been debating about whether or not to hold out for the longer range Ioniq EV instead of going for the PHEV. If the intenet is to be believed, there should be a 64kWh battery coming for MY19. What to do...
