I HATE I can't get this working on IONIQ5.
I left the car open some times .

My auto lock works on my Ioniq5. It was set when I bought it.

 

Not only does the door not lock automatically on walk away, you cannot lock the doors if any other door is open such as a passenger door until they close the door. Other manufacturers allow you to lock the door and all doors lock when closed.

 

Yeah that's a big gripe for me. My wife is so slow getting out of the car.

 

That’s only available in certain markets, US not being one of them. I’ve seen a YouTube review with that happening, I think it was Australia.

 

In North America Blue Link can send notifications for unlocked doors. I get these all the time.

OEMs are not good at software so let us give them some slack. Hopefully, if enough complaints they might release an update in the future.

 

I hope they will be able to add this feature, this is the only thing that I'm missing from my previous car

 

It wouldn't be so bad if the car at least gave the appearance of being locked. When an I5 is unlocked it's very obvious given that the door handles are sticking out. Bad guys stealing stuff from our cars could probably nail the owners for entrapment.

 

I had the auto lock when exiting my 2021 Tesla Model Y and really enjoyed that feature.
Sure do miss it. Amazing Hyundai doesn't include it for us.
When I got about 20-30 feet away from car it would signal it locked by a short horn beep.

 

Curious, is this a non-Limited trim 'Limitation' (no-pun intended). I swear our EV6 GT-Line has it, but I could be mistaken since it's not my daily driver.

 

Mine auto-locks when I walk away! about 30 seconds after it dose not detect the key.

but I think it's because the dealer installed an after market alarm before I bought it, I did not know about it until I was signing the paperwork. it's KARR brand. it dose cause some alarms going off when I'm charging sometimes, leaving the door open or getting in and out while charging. \

And I did get locked out of the car when the fob was on the lower center console when I got out to dry off the car after washing it at a self serve spray wash... I talked about in another thread,,

few weeks ago at my first car wash I put the fob on the bottom of the center console / arm rest and got out to dry my car after washing with a self serve pressure washer. and the doors locked!!! (and my phone was inside, so no help from BlueLink, or a friend or uber to get home to my spare)...

Mine used to auto-lock but now it doesn't seem to work anymore. In the past, when I walked away or even just walked straight to the back to open the hatch, the doors would auto-lock. Now, if I forget to lock them using the fob, they just stay unlocked. Not sure what's changed.
I've never had the fob locked in the car, as some have mentioned. I leave my fob inside while washing the car, because the doors used to keep auto-locking and unlocking as I moved around the car with the fob in my pocket.

 

I'm pretty sure ours auto locked as well at first. But now i noticed that it doesn't anymore. Actually been meaning to look it up. Least im not going crazy.

 

I know i'm the minority here, but I absolutely loath auto-locking with a burning passion. Don't try to be smart, if I want to lock my car, i'll do it myself.

 

That’s why it should be an available setting for us. For me to have this option doesn’t affect you in any negative way.
