Will I get a digital rear view mirror?

Ioniq5 ultimate ordered last July and expected in may (uk). I was told I’d get the my23, which includes a digital rear view mirror. However, I have seen no pictures or videos of it on any car so far, and the downloadable brochure doesn’t mention it (I’m sure it used to?!). Bit concerned as the lack of wiper was a big negative which this mitigated. Has this been lost to the great ‘chip shortage’ gremlin or will I be pleasantly surprised?

I'm wondering the same. I ordered a 77kwh Premium in mid-June, now expected delivery in April.

I'm worried that there could be further changes to the spec from what I ordered and I'm not even sure what I can expect from Hyundai to make it right. With restricted supply, could they offer a token gesture and figure I will have to accept, knowing they can find another buyer easy enough?

Looks like the digital rear view mirror was a sweetener that never materialized. Rather annoying, and takes some of the shine off that feeling of getting a new car. I guess ta least I know now rather than when I pick it up, which would have been awkward. However, I do like a deal and to turn a bad situation to my advantage, so it would be great to get an upgrade / money off somehow. Any thoughts? The problem is that my situation isn't very strong given the garage will likely know they can easily sell if I cancel my order!

The digital rear view mirror was removed last July, I assume when finalizing the spec

A quick search brings up these

I haven't seen any further changes to the spec since, will only know for sure once MY23's are being delivered

thanks Dan - Ive called my dealer (Oxford) and asked them to send a new spec sheet through, with a comparison to what was promised. They knew nothing about the loss of digital mirror. She told me that she though Hyundai would compensate for its absence (funny how they talk about Hyundai as if they are a separate company!). I need someone to keep reminding that the Ioniq5 is miles better than a model Y - what with the price drop and sooner availability!

Read this:
Service Intervals and Roadside Assistance thread

It confirms the 20k miles limit, suggests the optional annual visits are free health checks and map/software updates which may or may not be required to extend the roadside assistance cover.

So, all we need to know is the price of a minor service. I'd expect it to be under £130, unless it's more like a major with brake fluid change and then could be around £200?

Just read this review of the new Namsan edition on the Auto Express website. Interestingly, it talks about the updated Premium spec and mentions the 64 colour interior lighting and digital rear view mirror, despite only being published a few days ago. You'd think they were given up to date spec info by Hyundai UK before publication?

I am wondering the same. Ordered AWD Top in May 22 including DRVM & DSM. Expected delivery is April 23 though no signs it should arrive without it. Will need to wait and see.

There is a Hyundai Palisade walk-through by CarSceneKorea showcasing DRVM which I assume is reusable in Hyundai line-up i.e. would come in I5:

Same with me, even though digital rear view mirror was on specs sheet back when I placed the order, I have just received my I5 without it. When I asked dealer about it missing they said it was a "mistake" in specs sheet...

Having DSM that on its own gives clear and crisp view of what is happening around I don't find not having it a big deal even when back window is all smudged after driving in rain.

Hi, I received my namsan last month. I am pretty sure that when I ordered it the specification stated it came with DCM. However can't find any reference to it now. Dealer said they haven't heard of it either. Does anyone have the spec that was advertised, at least I can then try to get some kind of compensation. Thanks.

I bought the subject up with the dealer when I picked up my Namsan at the beginning of May. They told me to contact Hyundai U.K.

I emailed them a week later. Eventually they called back to say that I should go back to my dealer. They said that I had to take the car into them for them to check. Ridiculous.

I have not taken it in yet.

However, a couple weeks ago I got an offer to upgrade by basic Bluelink subscription “Connect myHyundai” to “Subcribe myHyundai”, to include servicing, European breakdown cover and some other benefits. This was to cost me £18 a month plus £99 activation fee.

A couple of days after I spoke to the dealer about the missing DCM, I got another email from H UK, thanking me for taking out a three year subscription to the enhanced Bluelink. Is this my compensation?

My Ioniq 5 (same spec as UK Namsan edition) arrived in IE without the promised digital rear view mirror. So I said I wasn't taking the car and will have my deposit back as car delivered was not the spec that was ordered in March. Dealer wanted to keep sale so installed digital rear view at their expense. Excellent quality but it is a permanent digital view and cannot be switched between standard mirror and digital. Happy enough with it mind you and have kept the Electro Chromatic Mirror so it can be reinstalled back into the car when it eventually gets traded in.

Yep, the dealer garage used a third party installer who does dashcams, reversing cameras, sensors, gate openers, etc. ... he removed existing rear view mirror and replaced with digital variant which was wired into same fuse for 12v socket in the front of the car. He wouldn't install camera externally just beneath the spoiler as it would have involved drilling the spoiler and he wasn't confident it would remain in one piece/undamaged. So, camara is installed internally, back window, in the shadow of the spoiler (so camera view isn't obstructed by spoiler and the spoiler kinda prevents that section of back window getting obscured by raindrops). I got him to install a Blackvue front and rear dashcam at my expense when he was doing the rear view camera (at dealer's expense) as local Halfords is not insured to hardwire anything into electric vehicles.

Thank you for explanation. In my case rearview camera and front/rear dash cam is the same camera and device. I also did not remove original mirror because it contains homelink garage opener.

I installed camera inside first, but within a year moved it outside. Due to missing wiper and almost horizontal rear glass visibility is 0 in the rain.
