I’ve been chasing up Hyundai over the loss of the years free IONITY subscription, due to delays. IVe just had the following back:

“Thank you for your patience in awaiting my response.

I can confirm that Hyundai Head Office are currently putting a plan together for all customers affected by the end of the IONITY subscription offer. As soon as I receive an update with more information surrounding this, I will be sure to contact you to let you know.

Please come back to me in the meantime if I can assist you with anything further.”

I've just checked my ChargeMyHyundai account as my 1 year free Ionity subscription expired yesterday and I can renew the Ionity subscription for £11.25 per month. So it appears by using CMH we get approximately 33% discount of the standard Ionity monthly subscription cost.

My personal issue was that due to Hyundai delays, when my car was finally delivered, Hyundai had pulled the free year IONITY subscription, so I got nothing. If his turned up on time I would have had the free year. I shouldn’t lose out due to Hyundai delays - this is what they are hopefully sorting.

Good luck, a few owners on a Norwegian Facebook group had similar delays and received their car after the 31/06/2022 deadline. They got no help from Hyundai or ChargeMyHyundai as the car needed to be registered before 31/06/2022 to get the free one-year subscription.

The dealer did give them the equivalent discount on future services to the yearly subscription fee to Ionity as the delay was their fault.

Anyway, the £11.25 monthly fee is definitely worth it if you charge more than 50kWh per month.at Ionity.

I reckon mine (UK based) is due to expire soon, if it has not done so already.

I’ve only used it 3 or 4 times over the last year so probably not worth paying to renew even if it was an option. I do like the speed of the Ionity chargers though. I assume I can just have a separate account with them and pay the full rate if I ever need them in future?

I spoke with Hyundai yesterday about my free subscription (received the car 3 weeks ago) and as told there should have been a card in the car with a code. It was not there, but Hyundai have came back and said I am eligible(checked my order number) and they are awaiting implementation with Ionity. I will then get a code to input in the chargehemyhyundai app which activates the subscription for 12 moths Apparently there are quite a few people who's order was in before the cut of date to register for the free Ionity subscription - but could not as you would not have been able to get your VIN number to due to the delays in the car manufacturer.

Hi all, an update for you. I had my code emailed to me by Hyundai yesterday. Top use it, you need to go to ChargemyHyundai online and select the Ionity subscription then add the code -I couldn't do it via the app. I was told all cars ordered before the cut of date to register(June 2022 I think) can contact Hyundai with your VIN and order number and they will send you a code if you don't get one with the car.

so no monthly subscription for 12 months & 0.25per kw in the UK , which is a very good cost for fast charging.

Yes thanks @MarkC for the tip off :). I emailed the exec team and they also sent me the code.

I successfully entered the code onto my Charge myHyundai account, though slightly concerned that I received an email back saying cost was £11.25 per month? I emailed back the exec team and they say I shouldn't be charged... but I'm slightly anxious that something's not right.

Hi,
I’ve just contacted customer service and have also had the 12month premium code sent to me.
only problem is that I’ve activated it but the App still shows Flex as the chosen package along with the standard charging rates when searching for a charge station.
Do you know if it goes on to the Premium package when I actually start the charge, I was hoping it would show the reduced rates in the search.
Any help, appreciated.
