I have a 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 SEL. It is for my wife. I like it more than my car and want to get one for my self. If I get another 2022 IONIQ 5 SEL I am guessing I won't get tax credit for that car correct? If I wait for 2023, would I then get the tax credit?

You can get the credit for both cars in the same year as long as you have enough tax liability; the only formal limit on it is one credit per VIN number. The credit has to be claimed in the year the car is put into service, so if you have the second car delivered in 2022, you'll need to claim the credit for the 2022 tax year.
If you were to trade yours in to buy hers, it might raise some flags, but you are good and will get 2 credits!
