Seat motor broken & terrible service at dealer

I mostly just need to rant about our awful local Hyundai dealer, and also wondering if there is a sort of standard timeline for warranty repair
my type of case (or loaner car provision). The driver's seat motor broke on our I5 '22 - the one that moves the seat forward and back - and it is stuck in position for me to drive (5'2") so my husband (6'0") is unable to fit in the seat and drive the car. Long story short is that after a month has gone by already (and one appointment with them) and they have the part in, but won't schedule me til Dec 30. It's actually been pretty difficult for us to manage for about a month already without him being able to drive this car (I won't go into the details of why, yes we have another vehicle but it's not ideal for many types of trips we make). Now we have to wait another couple of weeks, and no they won't give us a loaner even though the car is undriveable (for one of us). I'm going out of town with the other car for 5 days and leaving my husband with a car he can't drive. It'll be something like 1.5 months of undriveability (for my husband) when all is said and done.

I'm also just furious at them because the part came in at least a week ago and they swear they 'left a voicemail' which neither of us has. Since they had the wrong name on the part order (an amalgam of my husband's and my names), it seems pretty clear they didn't call the right number, either. And they won't squeeze us in any earlier despite THEIR MISTAKE. Anyway...can I just say how my local dealership sucks, how I have no other choice but to use them, and....ARGH. Hate Hyundai service.

Sorry to hear about yet another bad dealer service experience. I've had a few also. But on other car brands. So I tend to stay away from car dealer service departments as much as possible and will DIY a repair even if it's under warranty if that is a better way for me to go. The time to get to the dealer and wait for a repair is significant. In the waiting area they always have some totally boring TV show on and the magazines are absolutely mind numbing. The drinks and snacks make me gag. So they only thing left for me to do is get some exercise and walk around the parking lot.
