"I am not impressed with the Navigation system. Why can't they just have a "fast route" / "shortest route" option. Am I missing something?? It is sending me some very strange routes to say the least."

Well they do and much more besides :).

I have put this in a new thread because I have been an avid reader of this forum since last September and I do not recall this ever having been commented/discussed.

You may have to have a route selected first but if you then press NAV and then Route from the top bar it opens a pandora's box of choices.

Options will solve Idarryl's problems and the other features look good especially the ability to look at the route in some detail.

Computers are by their very nature pedantic and the fastest route can easily take extra miles to save very few minutes and conversely the shortest route take take you down narrow roads and/or city centres adding much time to your route. There are features here to alleviate that to some extent.

The sat nav in my plug in premium does allow you to choose between fasted & shortest routes, but I agree that entering a destination is a long winded affair. I wish there was a one button press to home or work, or at least put the favourites on the top layer. I have also noticed that the speed symbols displayed are not up to date, after gesturing at a driver who pulled in front of me and proceeded to dawdle at 30mph while I was doing 60 I have found numerous times the display was wrong.
