your not only have to get a new key but a complete reprogram don't leave your car out on the street till you get it taken care of and I'm sure its not cheep several hundred pounds

 

As above, when you order a new keyfob, they delete the lost key from the system at the same time.

A keyless fob for my Suzuki cost me nearly £300 three years ago. Including programming by the dealer etc.

 

note sure on the IQ5, but my Mercedes for a new key was about £400.00 and that was a few years ago.

 

I ordered a new key/fob at $550 Yokes. Dealer wants a550 programming fee of $125 part of $500 What is that 5 minutes/ So the fob came in but not the new key with cuts for my car

Lucky the dealer I purchased the car from gave me a $400 worth of lost key insurance.

 

I needed a new key for my Veloster and it was £450 from Hyundai, even a few years ago. very cheapest quote was almost £300, think that was Timpson's.

I cannot stress this enough - get key insurance people. It's about £30 a year.

 

Get a $20 smart tag. Done.

$75 to $115 US on eBay direct from South Korea. You may be able to program it with your other fob. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the dealer. But it pays to shop around. Some rare keysmiths can program it as well, at least if you have your other fob.

 

I put one on each key fob, never lost another one since.
