Rear Inverter Replacement (AWD)

I took my Ioniq 5 to the dealership because I was getting a "check EV system" warning light with the AWD warning as well.

Power was cut to less than half with reduced top speed. DTC stated something like "Drive Motor A" overcurrent/malfunction. After driving for 30+ miles and restarting the car, the errors would go away and the car would drive like normal. This happened twice in about 2 weeks.

The dealership did an initial inspection and couldn't find an issue. Hyundai tech line said to dig deeper, remove subframe and inspect the inverter for loose connections, and if nothing is found to replace the inverter.

Has anyone here ever had to replace an inverter? Sounds to me it's basically replacing the rear motor. Are replaced inverters expected to last as long and reliably as originals? I'm just worried that if it wasn't right from the factory that it would just be even harder to get right after the fact in a garage.

I don't have experience with this specific issue but I'd ask them if the part is an updated part and if it's a known issue? They're addressing something that's wrong, so provided they button it up right you should be good. How long have you had it and how many miles are on it?
Bought it in June this year, has about 8000 miles on it now.

Could be an inverter issue as well as a vehicle or motor sensor issue. Did they replace the inverter, and have you seen any issue since? Also do you have the inverter part number?
They told me they replaced the drive motor. The receipt they gave me had zero details and no part number unfortunately.

It was replaced 6 months ago now, it's been about 10,000 miles and 7 months since I first had the issue and it hasn't happened since.
