I Was just wondering is there a recommended OBD2 plug that works on the 20 Ioniq ?
I noted on bjorns test drive video that his OBD link LX was not displaying all the info correctly .
Do people leave them plugged in or do they cause vampire drain and is Evnotify a good App to use or is there a better one?

There are lots of OBD devices, the main choice is Bluetooth or WiFi connection to your smartphone. BT is usually the best choice as it uses less power and is less likely to interfere with built in WiFi (if so equipped). Any of them will read all the data provided by the car, but it is up to the programming on the reader app on your phone to sort and display the data you are interested in. All such apps will have built in defaults, but I don't think any of them have defaults for things like hybrid traction battery. You can program in such things yourself in the better apps (they are known as PIDs for each point of interest to you and are easily available online).

The OBD system is powered 24 hours a day, and this can lead to issues if a reader is left plugged in. I've owned two BT readers (both boasting of ultra low power draw), and both killed my 12 volt battery requiring a "reset" (which worked well) in my hybrid. If you drive on a daily basis, you probably won't see that happen though, but it is too much risk for me so I don't leave them plugged in any more.
