Leather on leather.. why? And doesn't that just make it 3 times hotter as its already heated and seems to store heat even when not in use due to the fabric.

I'm kind of biased anyway being a veggie and wanting Hyundai to go full vegan with the IONIQ by removing the leather completely! (currently is only on steering wheel and shifter I think?)

I know the feeling. The salesman tried to push one of the "advantages" of the Premium SE being the leather seats ... no thanks that's a negative point!

@TKGDee the OP said he got the base model which does not come with a factory leather-wrapped steering wheel. Just hard-shell vinyl. I assume the OP wanted a softer feel to his steering wheel.

 

Ah got you sorry! Looks good but I’m just not a leather lover.

 

If it makes you feel better, it's simulated leather. It's soft and breathable. It even keeps the steering wheel cooler in 98F weather.
