All - Ive been told the ionic has a wireless key option? I have blue link all set up but going through the registration it asks for a key? No email received and dealer is absolutely clueless?

Any ideas?

From Hyundai website....

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade, 2023 Ioniq 6, and 2024 Elantra are the first Hyundai models to include Hyundai Digital Key 2, which allows the vehicle to be unlocked, locked, and started with your iPhone or select Samsung Devices. The system also allows the primary user to share Digital Key access with three other users. You can even send someone a “shared key” from clear across the country.

With Digital Key 2, you unlock the car by holding your smartphone against the driver-door handle. Once inside, just place the phone in the wireless charging tray, push the start button and go.

Correct, but you must actually physically touch the car with the phone for it to unlock.

Same issue here with my new Ioniq 6 Limited. After about 30 tries to set up Digital Key on iOS, my dealer managed to get it working (I'm still not sure how he did it). I did get the Digital Key e-mail. However, Hyundai documentation keeps talking about selecting the "Digital Key" option from the iOS app (I have v 5.1.4) and there is no such option - although my dealer who owns the same car has it on his iPhone. There has been a support ticket open for a week over at Hyundai on this, but wondered if anyone else might know the magic words to say.
Overall, Digital Key 2 on my iPhone 13 Pro and Apple Watch 6 works quite well.

After 8 weeks of Hyundai working on this behind the scenes (and multiple "Are you still there?" emails from me) BlueLink tech support finally corrected the provisioning in my account so that the Digital Key option appears in the iOS BlueLink app !
Next and final step - going to the dealer this Friday to see if they can get the NFC Key Card working.

My dealership told me it required Android, and I just went in and set it up on iPhone (delearship clearly doesn't receive adequate training on Ioniq6's and they don't come in too often to play with/learn otj). It did take a couple of tries, but following the directions in the app (Digital Key does show up in the menu for me) did work eventually. They didn't believe it was the phone working, so we tested by putting the fob away from the car and unlocking - which does work after a couple seconds. Still starting the car was and remains super-finicky, and the on-dash animation shows a key fob pressing the start button for the digital key prompt for some reason.

I only use my iPhone as the key. It took some getting used to in order to find the sweet spot. For opening the door I face the top of the screen facing the edge of the handle about 2 inches not touching. For starting the car I either hold the top of the phone near the middle of the pad or drop it in there but phone camera bump needs to be just sitting on the top of the back portion of the rubber. This is in a spot where wireless charging won’t work so once started I just slide the phone forward a bit to wireless charge. I have a iPhone 14 pro max for reference.

Yeah, my iPhone 13 Pro Max works fine too (as does my Apple Watch 6) as the Digital Key. But I like having the NFC Key Card in my wallet as a backup and to use as a valet key. Haven't been able to set it up - it was super easy with my 2021 Sonata Limited - but my sales guy advised me to bring it in and the service dept will be able to enable the NFC Card Key. We shall see!
