How aerodynamic are the ioniq blue hubcaps/wheel covers versus the hubcaps on the SEL and Limited? they are so ugly! how many more MPG am i actually getting with using them?

I have the limited and I am averaging in the high 50's right now with the temps also in the high 50's in a mix of highway and urban driving in the hills of Arkansas. Some claim that with small wheels/tires you have gives increased mpg -- slightly! Not sure how much the crappy looking wheel covers increase mpg. May just be an advertising ploy! ;)

The aero hubcaps offer no difference in fuel savings. They're supposed to act as fairing to help channel the air but it's more of a gimmick. My mileage has not changed whatsoever from the open alloys vs. factory wheel covers. I was told it's designed to look the part and that's it. Tire pressure, tire width, rolling resistance, air temperature, driving style have a lot more influence on your mileage. Similarly, you get the same range on a Tesla Model 3 with the optional 19" sport wheels/tire vs. 18" Aero wheels in real world driving.

Found this one which shows the car without the wheel covers and describes efficiency. Covers are going to stay on my vehicle.
