Anyone have an issue with touch sensor in the door(s)? On my I6, the pixel on the door doesn't lock/unlock. So, when I exit, the only way to lock the car is via passenger door, the fob, or the app. Same way for unlock. I didn't notice it before because the unlock is usually auto with primoxy/auto present on.

Thinking I have a bad touch sensor there.

Every time an issue, for me. It takes an average of 1.75 hits, most likely, to activate the door-handle lock request button - and that's with the knowledge that gripping/holding the handle will prevent detection (a dumb design choice/poor decision - it should not inhibit requests ever). I'm at the point where I wish I could get it to lock simply by shoving the handle in (an actual, verifiable, definite action - unlike the indeterminate act of placing one's finger on the capacitive square pad that may-or-may-not be detected), much like pulling the trunk down to close it silently without a loud "BEEP, BEEP!" of pressing the button.

Note: The passenger door works 100/100 times and so do the GV60 and Ioniq 5 handles. A trip to the dealer today confirmed the drivers door sensor is not functioning so luckily (or unluckily) it's likely going to need to be replaced.

I focused a bit on comparing "unresponsive events" between driver and passenger door in the past two days... and nope, no difference really. Same lack of reliable response whether it's the passenger or driver side. Every time I get out, it's a 50/50 whether my tap is registered - where I can feel my finger squishing on the square pad, but the car doesn't react. Most likely the car has some obscenely poorly configured filtering on it, that if the tap isn't quite long enough, it won't register. These door buttons shouldn't demand to occupy so much mind-space that they must be consciously held for an erratically long period of time in order to register. A simple tap should do it, just like clicking a physical button (which would be orders-of-magnitude more preferred than this capacitive garbage).

In comparison to your case, I'd exchange 0/100 for 50/100 any day lol.

I stopped in and it was diagnosed as a bad sensor. They will order the parts in a few and hopefully I can get to 50/100 soon 🙏🏾🙏🏾😬

I have noticed the same lack of response when I try to lock my driver's side door by touching the sensor. I have to hit multiple times. Also since the update for approach unlock, it will swing the mirrors out, but not unlock the door and it also take multiple time to unlock.

Just took delivery on Ioniq6 this past weekend. Love it so far! Noticed every morning when i leave for work getting that Camera obscured message with all the safety systems unavailable. It eventually will go away after driving a few miles. Is this a known issue? thought i ask anyone have similar occurrence. I'm thinking it is weather related, i park my car outside.

Do you park in the garage?

I just tried scheduling an appointment with my dealer 🤮 After getting no promised replies from web contact form and the web chat support (their site had no "2023" model year option, only stopped at 2022 - Capitol Hyundai in San Jose), I tried using a "schedule service" nag email to book the approach unlock update.

I actually couldn't even find the first available appointment - I stopped flipping through unavailable pages of months when I hit Feb 2024.

Deep, all-consuming buyer's remorse. Should've stuck with the big T. 😢 Can't even tell you how disgusted I am to need to be booking a service appointment for a software update in 2023, but to not even be able to find/schedule an appointment is next-level.

You should just call them bud, my dealer had me in the same day I called. And I was out in a hour. It's hard to hire anyone or keep them hired under $25/H they are just likely short staffed or poorly run, or because it's July a lot of people are on vacay.

No. It rarely happens. Add it to the of things that don't happen enough to replicate. BTW I have that problem I note in an earlier post about the autohold brake releasing and vehicle creep twice within the last couple of weeks.
