Thanks. I've been meaning to do this upgrade, but I hadn't gotten around yet to investigating which LED would fit. They are on order now.
Thanks for this! I found a clever bulb which helps with night vision/star party situations.
It switches from white to red if you close then re-open the tailgate:
(The incandescent bulb gets so hot that the classic red electrical tape on the lens technique doesn't work)
