ChargeMyHyundai - Charging In France

I've just got back from a week or so in France and my bills have all landed and they are very strange!

A UK charge using my ChargeMyHyundai RFID card (1 yr free membership) was £21.42 for 32.195KWh at a Shell Recharge (A34 Newbury Bypass) on the way to the ferry was much as expected. £0.66 pKWHr.

On the way back we used a ChargeMap card for a single fill in Caen on a 20KW local charger costing £35.62 for 58.377kwh so £0.61 pKWhr. Again much as expected.

Here's the fun bit!

We used the ChargeMyHyundai card for the rest of the trip on teh motorways and charged up 6 times using the 350KW Ionity chargers.

This was the first one 39.131 KWhr for £6.92 - i.e. less than £0.18 KWhr!

This was the last one 42.363 KWhr for £9.13 -i.e.£0.21 per hour. The difference between the two charges of £0.03 is the exchange rate back to GBP.

All the other 4 charges are at the same c£0.20 per KWHr - it is cheaper than charging at home!

The app/website says we should be charged 0.69€

Has anyone else (UK based) been to France and used the Ionity chargers at this rate via their 'free' ChargeMyHyundai RFID card?

I am thinking this is an error and it will catch up with me! Or it is just a first (connection?) charge and there is a second charge to come but the invoice is pretty clear!

Interested to hear others experiences

One a sidenote.

the Bonnet app is a very affordable way for us Europeans to charge on IONITY (+some other networks) without needing a subscription.

if you decide to sign up, feel free to use my code R8GDMW to get £15 off your first upfront payment. This will only work if you’re not on the “pay as you go” option.

I got ChargeMap as recommended on another thread as it is a common card in Europe. It was my back up option. Think it was 20€ for the card but no other charges. One of the local chargers wouldn't take my ChargeMyHyundai card so I used ChargeMap with no problem. Worth it I would say for peace of mind.
