i have looked at a few but haven't ordered one yet. Summer is still a few months away. Since i want to keep the car cool I care a lot more about reflectivity than any of the other parameters. i have the same requirement as well. I wonder if we need a really breathable car cover so that the battery can get cooled easier under the sun. any thoughts?

 

California car cover company has specific covers for our cars. Has the charging flap, mirror pockets. Quite a few different levels and colors. I have used them before, they seemed pretty good.

this is a general question regarding car cover.

if the car is not so clean, and you put on the car cover, it would risk scratching the paint. is this correct? it sort of defeats the purpose of having the car cover in the first place. i, myself, don't do car wash often so this could be a problem using car covers.

 

Nearly six months later and I see a few Ioniq 5 -specific covers (at Amazon and elsewhere), at prices between $125 and $160 – IOW not cheap – but none with accommodations for the cooling vents.

I suppose it's feasible for a good seamstress to make and hem the corresponding holes, but it seems inevitable that the manufacturers will figure this out ... e v e n t u a l l y.

I assume the air vents are for intake. Where does the air exit? Would you need to accommodate for that? A nice touch might be to sew in a charging port flap too. 😄
