Hi. I managed TX to Mr Mjay. Set up your Bluelink first. Then using your wife's smartphone, install Bluelink, open, CREATE her own account, then go to the car and enter the verification code.
After that in YOUR smartphone, share. Accept in HER smartphone. Done.
HOWEVER...
BlueLink Google Calendar integration is a mess.
So I reverted to Android Auto!
Finally found the Amazon Basics 3.1 gen2 cable USB A to C works with my S21. Will switch to Google pixel 6 Pro though...

Your Phone: Download the app, install on your phone, create your driver's BlueLink Account. Car: Activate BlueLink connection. Add your driver's BlueLink account to your driver profile in the car. Your Phone: Add the car to your app. Spouse's Phone: Download the app, install on spouse's phone, create spouse's driver's BlueLink Account. Car: Add your spouse's BlueLink driver's account to your spouse's driver profile in the car. Your Phone: Share the car with your spouse's BlueLink driver account. Spouse's Phone: Accept sharing and check that it works.
Hi MrMjay what does the message to share appear as. I have gone through ‘Share my Car’ but nothing is coming up on my husbands phone. I also tried from his phone to ‘Request to share a car’ and haven’t seen anything on my phone. i have set up an account in my name with the car attached and my husband has set up an account with no car. regards Ali

There may some differences between the European BlueLink app that I am using in the UK, the US app in use in America, and your Australian app, I don't know, but on my (European) app it looks like this:

Just remember that the car can only be registered to one person, and that person is then initiating the sharing.

I set-up two separate BlueLink accounts for Mrs Mjay and for myself, installed the BlueLink app on my phone and on hers, then added the car on my app, and shared it with her BlueLink account, and it worked fine.
My husband and I have have two Hyundai cars. I was to add him on my blulink on my Tucson but he can't seem add me his BlueLink on his ioniq.

Simply sharing login credentials is insufficient. You first have to go to the Bluelink app and click on "Driver Profiles." It lists the Primary Driver information, but there’s also an link allowing to “Invite Additional Drivers.” You also can edit to include full access or manage the features and notifications the driver has access to.

I think you need to grant the Hyundai app 'Notifications' permissions on her phone.
Assuming we're talking about this following screen, yeah all the app "notifications" are turned on. (As an aside her app is called MyHyundai even though mine is called Bluelink but maybe that's an Apple/Android thing.) But I don't even see on this screen any option to turn on/off the text message that door is unlocked.

And on her phone notifications are turned on for the MyHyundai app, although I don't think that has anything to do with this because it's not an app notification. Specifically I get a text message in my messages app saying her car door is unlocked.

It may be different in the US.

Here in Europe, both my wife and I have the Bluelink app, and I 'shared' my car with her.

Yes, but I had to allow notifications from the Hyundai app on her iPhone.
Yeah her notifications are allowed and turned on. But again this is not technically a notification I think. It's not just a banner that shows up from the app (to be fair yes I also get an app notification). It's a text message I'm talking about. I get both the notification from the app as well as a TEXT message. Do you and your wife get a notification from the app AS WELL as a text message?

No text messages for us - only 'proper' app notifications. But, again, the European Hyundai app might be different than the US/Canada app.

Canada version has less features than the US version. To compensate, the Bluelink subscription is lifetime for the original owner.
I have a free lifetime subscription to Bluelink here in US for my '25 i5N...I believe all '25s Ioniqs here in US come with lifetime subscriptions now..

Interesting.

My then-top-of-the-line 2021 UK car came with 3 years free Bluelink PRO subscription. After that, nada, unless you pay.

My current top-of-the-line 2025 UK car came with 10 years free Bluelink Lite subscription, and a 6 months free trial of Bluelink PRO. This means that after the initial 6 months, only some basic stuff will work, unless I pay the Bluelink PRO (or Bluelink Plus) subscription fee.

Hyundai do seem indecisive about their Bluelink policy....

Confirmation from Hyundai that notifications for 2nd Bluelink user not possible:

"In regarding your inquiry on secondary drivers receiving notifications from app regarding your Ioniq 6 2026, Only the main account holder will receive notifications to the number that has been set up for the notifications. The secondary driver will not receive these notifications."

So in reality/real-life, although it's possible to add a 2nd driver to the app, I think it's likely more useful to just login to both phones with the primary user's email address INSTEAD of doing this thread's add 2nd driver thing. I believe the in-car profile and seat settings (controlled by the button on the door) will retain in any case.
