Hello all, I have been experimenting with speaker upgrades and enhancements to the base stereo of the Ioniq 6. I have tried multiple brands from Pioneer to Focal. I have mixed and matched aftermarket with factory. I finally hit on a great mix. I installed the Recoil REM65 Echo Series replacing the front door speakers and tweets. I DID NOT run the crossovers however I did splice in Recoil BB-T bass blockers into the tweeter line. Also I placed a thin sheet of wool cotton over the tweets prior to closing back up which helps to soften brightness. The back speakers after much trial and error sound the best with this setup so I kept in place. I did remove all four door panels installed self stick speaker dampner circles on the door panel behind them. This helps the bass to sound tight.
Finally to really make your sound great download Wavelet (if an android user) and if interested reach out and I can send my settings. This all made a substantial difference in the sound and I would say near the level of the Bose but having to turn volume up about 10% more. Any questions let me know!
