I assume those are the base speaker, not the limited ones?
Correct, I'm pretty sure the wirring for Bose speaker is right there too so yeah.I assume those are the base speaker, not the limited ones?
Not yet I'm not pulling it apart untill I have the speakers/parts.Did you try and replace the tweeter or just the door woofer? I believe the tweeter is in the pillar.
Have you done the rear speakers? I'm wondering if it's similar to the IONIQ 5 where the rear speakers had different clearances and compatibilities than the front.
Yes, The plan is to get all the speakers done first just to help people out and evaluate. The tweeters just shipped today and I'll have the rear door speakers in about 2 weeks. Are you planning on adding an amplifier? I'd like to get in a small amp and sub.
Under the rear seat, if you have a bose system you would be better of using the Bilradio systemWhere is the factory amp location?
I have an SEL so no Bose for me. I wonder if the wires are still there.Under the rear seat, if you have a bose system you would be better of using the Bilradio system

It most definitely is, but the media unit is different from what I read and so are the speakers. On top of that all I've gotten is that the Bose system for the I5 are just okay and that seems to extend to the reviews on the i6 bose system.I have an SEL so no Bose for me. From this, it looks like it's only powered by the head unit on the non Bose system and it's right under the glovebox on the passenger side.I paid for access to the Hyundai Tech Info site today and downloaded a lot of stuff related to the AVNT system. The annoying thing about the audio system is the tweeter's tee off of the main harness instead of being localized to the door like the Ioniq 5.
Right, non-Bose is direct connection from head unit to speakers. You'd need a harness adapter like the Puzu #27 or to splice into the wires directly to install a dedicated amp. From this, it looks like it's only powered by the head unit on the non Bose system and it's right under the glovebox on the passenger side.
Sweet, I am thinking of just putting in an alpine power pack this way I don't need any special power cables. I'll just have to figure out a sub later.Right, non-Bose is direct connection from head unit to speakers. I have a powered alpine sub too that I was thinking of adding. Please let me know if you find a good spot and how to get 12v power inside from the battery for it.What would be the best route to install a powered subwoofer in a non-Bose SEL? I have a Kenwood KSC-SW11 compact subwoofer but i don't know if that would help or not. My 2012 MS had the High Fidelity package, I know the whole system would have to be upgraded on the Ioniq to compare, I am just trying to make it a little better.
What's the link for that? I tired and all I got was an "This is not a available option for your country" message.I paid for access to the Hyundai Tech Info site today and downloaded a lot of stuff related to the AVNT system. I would stick it under the seat or under the false floor in the trunkWhat would be the best route to install a powered subwoofer in a non-Bose SEL?
