Okay, I read on another post that changing user profiles will bring the option back. I’m going to leave it the way it is so when I go in they can replicate the issue and report it to Hyundai. I have other issues for them to look at as well.

 

what happens if you try tapping the search button (magifying glass) and typing in ambient and see if you get a result

 

Doesn’t show up. Based on the other post, switching profiles should fix the search issue too.

 

You could also try a hard reset, these are rolling computers sometimes a reboot is the best fix

 

Thanks! I already restarted the computer and also disconnected and reconnected the 12v battery for 5 minutes. No improvement.

 

The service tech was super stumped by this. They are going to keep it and research.

 

Couldn’t figure it out. The dealer’s technician will connect with Hyundai Engineers on Monday.

 

The dealership is planning to replace the ambient light control module based on consultation with Hyundai corporate. Of course it is back ordered. 😉

 

The part came in on January 1 and they installed it this weekend. Works perfectly now.

 

I noticed all my ambient lighting in my US limited stopped working. I looked in the Lighting menu and the Ambient lighting option is completely missing from the menus. What I should see and what I actually see: View attachment 47044 View attachment 47045 Set up service for after the holidays.

Did they fix? I need to know as mine is too and they don’t seem to know how to fix it

 

I saw it mentioned in Tesla Bjorn's video. He fixed it by switching user profiles as someone mentioned earlier. Since that's an old video by now I doubt they care enough to have someone fix it

 

That trick did not fix mine. It took a module replacement.
