Uk delivery

Does anyone know how deliveries are going in the UK? I ordered the AWD premium in July. Was told October but for the last month update has been the vehicle is built and waiting for VIN.

Is anyone receiving AWD or still RWD only?

Got in contact with Hyundai on twitter today and was told my car was built on the 22nd May and is currentlyat sea. They also sent VIN so I checked details matched what I expected/told, and was happy to confirm all looks good. Just got to try and find which ship it was on. Told it should arrive in Tilbury around 19th July so now its the waiting game.
The Asian Captain vehicle carrier is due to leave Ulsan 28/05 and arrive in Tilbury 12/07. There’s another boat due into Tilbury in a week or so Glovis Companion but that left Ulsan a fair few weeks ago been making it’s way through South Korea, Jeddah, Suez Canal, Turkey and currently about to dock in France before Tilbury.

Thanks, that's the only ship I can find on the Ulsan-Tilburu route around the correct date. The only thing I'm not sure about is that Hyundai already mentioned its at sea. I thought I could use this Ship to get a rough idea of when it should arrive.

That's what I did on my order and was very useful for tracking it. Thing it won't tell you is the time it will take in the UK which from this thread is extremely variable. The dealer only gets a "probable this month" when it's in the UK. Then a confirmed date when it goes onto the ECM lorries for delivery like a day or two before they get it

The other thing I did was ask them on their Twitter page and they would get back to you within a day or so. Much better than the dealer. You need an order number/VIN
So after spending 7 weeks at Tilbury, being on hold at Tilbury due to dealer credit reasons the car has now failed it’s PDI because it’s been sent without cables, this after it’s spent a week at the dealer going through its checks. Annoying😭🤬

Looking at my VIN data, think I read it hear but motors and battery size are incorrect they show 73kw and 160+70kw for the motors. It seems to use the old batt size and motors rather than the larger ones in the VIN info? Also where it says heatpump it says inner condenser? is that part of the battery conditioning?
I ordered September 2022 and was told originally it was going to be August 2023. My dealer has been brilliant with the updates but I tried contacting Hyundai UK on twitter as others have as had my charger installed today so made me that little more impatient. They told me the ship is due to dock at Tilbury on June 9th. Only ship I can see which might be docking around that time is Glovis Sky, which according to the Glovis schedule, says the 7th. I did ask them for a ship name too, but they never supplied one, just said it was at sea. The VIN tracking page thing said my production date was April 13th and I think Glovis Sky departed on April 23rd, if that helps anyone work out where their car might be.

I don’t think it’s the Glovis Sky, I think it’s the Glovis Companion (currently in France) and due into Tilbury anytime over the next week, I was told it was due in on the 3rd June but schedules change and it was moored outside Turkey for a few days.
I ordered a "stock" car via workplace salary sacrifice at the start of April, only to be told at the end of April that the car was no longer available (but no explanation why).

Was then offered an almost identical spec car (minus heat pump) which was expected to the dealer by mid May....

This was quickly bumped back to late May, before being told last week that the car is just awaiting ECM transport to the dealer and expected mid June.

Lo and behold, the estimate has now been pushed back to late June, spoke to Tusker and they just said that the car was "in transit" to the dealer - think they need to brush up on their latin.

No idea how reliable these estimates are, or how accurate the information I have been given is - but even with all the chaos at Tilbury, 3 weeks from passing checks to the dealer seems ridiculous!

Only been going on 2 months and it's driving me crazy, god knows how everyone with factory orders manage to cope!

Anyway, whinge over - at least until the next delay

Well it’s finally happening, tomorrow is delivery day after what can only be described as a mess of a situation since the car arrived in Tilbury at the end of March. That’s 10 weeks of the car being in the country.

6 weeks at Tilbury for checks
1 extra week at Tilbury due to the dealer not having funds for the car being to be released
2 weeks at the dealer for PDI checks. Another delay of a week as PDI checks failed due to no cables being supplied with the car
1 week delivery turn around

After all this I just hope the car comes with 4 wheels and a steering wheel.

Good luck.

Would have thought the dealer would have had some spare charging cables lying around!

You would have thought huh! But no they had to get some sent over from Tilbury.
Well I finally got the call I was waiting for. I will take delivery next Wednesday after 18 months and 2 weeks from order to delivery.
It's been emotional, let's hope it lives up to my expectations 😆

Did they say if it’s still awaiting checks? According to Tusker mine is expected to be 20+ days post dock checks to dealer!

Yep, nothing more they can do to make it go faster! once completed it will go to Perrys for their checks!
On Tusker site it says "released from factory" did speak to them a month or so, but they told me to contact Perrys

Yeah mine also says released from factory with an estimated date to dealer that seems to move back each week - currently late June.

Interestingly when I spoke to Tusker they told me not to contact the dealer as my order was with them! Thought they’d be glad to get rid of me.

18 months of waiting  I believe only true fans would be waiting for the car for so long. Interesting enough but this sort of situation when customers have to wait for years has been on the market for almost 3 years already and I have zero idea when it will be sorted out.
