I'll be tracking it for the next 7 weeks...
Hyundai also use there own glovis ships. I'm still to find a reliable(free) source of schedules for these.I was pointed towards this site Schedule - EUKOR to see ships going from Ulsan to Tilbury. But not sure if this is the only company to be transporting Hyundai's as HUK told be that my car arrived to the UK on the 9th May and there were no ships due (also my car production date was 1st April and no Ship on this site has departed since then).
Have you heard anything more from Perry's? I got a lovely message from them yesterday advising "you'll have it in the next few weeks" haha.Just to keep your expectations in check my Ioniq 5 arrived at Tilbury on the 31st of March and has still yet to leave for the dealer. Perrys have told me that the expect the car to arrive with them on Tuesday. That will be 5 weeks at the docks plus whatever time it takes for the dealer to do what they need to do and get it delivered to me. All in all I guess it will be around 7 weeks from the car docking to being delivered to me.
Perry left me a voicemail on Friday indicating car has arrived on UK shores and expect early June Delivery.Have you heard anything more from Perry's? I got a lovely message from them yesterday advising "you'll have it in the next few weeks" haha.
Thats really good updating from Perry's. I've not had that experience whatsoever. Barely get an update and when I chase for one they always sound like I am just bothering them haha.Perry left me a voicemail on Friday indicating car has arrived on UK shores and expect early June Delivery.
I will call them again to confirm if the ship has docked as Hyundai UK (Twitter) provided another docking date.
I been whatsapping them since March asking for an update, it was not only until 5 weeks ago i got an answer.Thats really good updating from Perry's. I've not had that experience whatsoever. Barely get an update and when I chase for one they always sound like I am just bothering them haha.
Spoke to them and Hyundai yesterday and I can tell you I’m proper cheesed off. Hyundai claim the checks have all been completed but the car is now on credit hold and that Perrys would need to contact Hyundai Capital. I followed this information with a call to Perrys where I told them what I had been told by Hyundai and after being on hold for a while their response was that ‘the checks still hadn’t been completed’ and this credit hold was another form of check that needed to be completed at Tilbury…….talk about fobbing me off.Have you heard anything more from Perry's? That’s the impression I get haha. When I rang them the second time yesterday the person I spoke asked if it was me that rang in earlier and wasn’t I happy with the response I got. I guess I won’t be getting my free mats.Thats really good updating from Perry's. I've not had that experience whatsoever. Hmmmm wonder if it's Perrys then that are having an issue as we seem to be in basically the exact situation. Seems unlikely a company like them wouldnt have the money though. I've had enough myself for this week and will leave it now until next Thursday if i've not heard from them any sooner. That’s the impression I get haha. If you give Hyundai a call on 0800 981 981 they should be able to provide you with some more info information.Latest from Hyundai uk Twitter:
Hi, a ‘technical recall’ hold applied has been applied to some vehicles. So they will need to go through the necessary checks before they are released for delivery. Your Ioniq 5 is part of this, as soon as we have more information we will let you know.
Regards, Sakab
Is this bad/ normal? Could there be a long delay? !
Thank you! Interesting, tempted to reach out to Hyundai UK and see from their POV where it is in their queue. I'll let you know when I get a response. Assuming again though with it being Perry's it should be the exact same.@crofty2102 looks like Perrys have sorted out the credit issue. Just got a tweet from Hyundai twitter to say that the car has been released and should be with the dealer in the next 5 working days.
In my experience Hyundai have been far more helpful than Perrys have, whether via twitter or on the phone. It would be definitely worthwhile reaching out to them.Thank you! Definitely speak to Perrys and get them to make sure it’s tagged in the June potentials list. Once that’s done just contact Hyundai via twitter to see if the checks are done. From Hyundai Twitter this morning regarding my order:
The vehicle is currently at Tilbury so the retailer will need to ensure it is tagged to the June potentials list and it will then be credit released and issued for delivery that month. The vehicle docked on 09.05.2023 and was not included on May potentials. Thanks, Jemma.
My Best advice would be to speak with your selling retailer to ensure your vehicle is tagged for the June potentials list
I will contact Perrys again to ensure June Delivery
