That is a new one to me, where have you seen any evidence that the 'tire slime' (or what ever version they include in the kit) destroys the tire? Tire sealants have been around for decades and I have not heard of them damaging tires. They just make a proper plug and patch a pain for the tire tech as it has to be cleaned out (a messy job). Honestly if you ever have to use one of these kits when you take the tire in for an actual repair be sure to tip the kid that has to clean it out.
