I had the same exact issue…. My car had an outdated software version… I updated to the current version and problem was solved…

 

Is the software version update something I can do or does the dealership do it?

 

You can do it yourself.. Look for threads on updating infotainment/nav software for instructions…

 

Anyone ever encounter an error message reading “check lane change assist function“. After
receiving the message, i can’t access the map or navigation functions. Any thoughts?

This just started happening with mine yesterday.

 

I had my head unit replaced. Seemed like overkill but it did solve the problem

 

Head unit? What and where is that exactly? I am getting both Check Lane aAssist function and Check Forward Safety system errors, I thought the software update via USB fixed it but it came back. Sometimes the error goes away after overnight, but it returns. I don't know if the error is a glitch or may affect the the safety function.

 

Is the car spotless, the manual spends a lot of time warning about debris impacting features like this, I could see a well placed dragon fly making it angry
