Snapping noise when releasing the parking brake released

When I first put the car into "gear", I hear a snapping noise. This sounds like the parking brake releasing. Is this typical?

The car has less than 1000 miles. I typically pull into a garage and then back out. This would be a drive->park-> sit overnight->reverse sequence. I've been using iPedal so I typically don't apply brakes when parking.

I drive an Ioniq 6, but if it's the noise I'm thinking of, it could just be the door handles retracting.

Next time you're about to put the car into "gear" watch your door handles through your side mirror. If they retract at the same exact time as the snapping noise, that's probably it.

Glenn, I think you are correct. I just did a quick one-off test and I heard a sound that seemed to align with the handle retract.

Now for the follow-up. Is this sound normal? Has it gotten any worse over time? Any idea on how to reduce the sound? I'm guessing yours has done this from day one without any issues?
