SiriusXM Question

Recently, I attempted to use Google Maps through Android Auto while listening to SiriusXM at the same time, and I couldn't get it to work. In my 2024 Honda Pilot, I can navigate to Sirius, select a station, and then tap on AA, and I can display Google Maps while Sirius continues to run in the background. (It doesn't show Sirius on the AA screen, which is fine by me.)

When I try to do the above, my I5 automatically starts streaming from AA with either Spotify or Pandora. Has anyone been able to listen to Sirius while using Google Maps?

Short answer, Yes.
To elaborate: I’ve also found that often it starts streaming from the phone when I go into CarPlay, but I can get it back to XM (or other radio) by tapping the “Media” button on the dash below the screen, sometimes with the additional step of tapping the radio type on the screen pop-up. I have the dashboard Star/custom button set as a shortcut to phone projection so then I just tap the Star and it goes back to showing the map from the phone while still playing the car radio.

Asterisk that it probably works with a detour through the Home Screen to tap on the AA/CarPlay icon but I can’t say from experience since I always use the Star button shortcut.
