Road noise

I really don't find my 15" tyres any noisier than my last car which had 19" tyres . In fact they are quieter , something that my wife has noticed . On some surfaces tyre noise can be louder but that applied on the same stretches of road with my last car too . I should imagine that the 17" tyres would be a little noisier but only an Ioniq owner who changes his tyres ,for winter use for instance , could really confirm that . Bluecar1 may be right about the Dunlop Blue Response tyres they are 2db quieter and better rolling resistance so maybe he'll be our test guy on that one in the coming months :)

I'm planning to do just this as shown in the photos below. And considering the spray can solution on the panel.

Ideally I'd like to strip the interior and get to the rear wheel well arch from the inside (at least), but I don't want to go that route because of the time involved. Or maybe I may end up going that route, who really knows, I have to figure it out.

Seems like a lot of work . Do you find the Ioniq that noisy ? In all honesty I don't find road noise too much of a problem at all ,though some road surfaces are noisier than others . It's certainly no noisier than any other car I've owned . Maybe Hyundai should bring out an EV Hover variant ? ;)

Are luxury cars quieter? Why do people buy them or attempt to reduce noise in non-luxury cars? Might be a lot work, but far cheaper than buying a luxury car.
The point of my question was , is the Ioniq that noisy ? . Mine certainly isn't :) and I'm not trying to suggest that owners who do find it noisy are being fussy . I'm just genuinely puzzled
