The Ioniq 5 manual states "Reverse Parking Aid (if equipped)" - which is the feature where the wing mirrors dip down so you can see if you're about to curb the alloys when parallel parking. I cannot make this function work on my Premium model. Maybe only the Ultimate model has it? Has anyone else got this working on the Premium or SE Connect models in the UK?

In Belgium, the wing mirrors don’t dip.

Have you tried moving the mirror selector switch to the L or R positions i.e. not in the middle?

I tried configuring it, moving the mirror selector to L or R before reversing, indicating while configuring and reversing etc, nothing works. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try asking the dealership.

Difficult to tell, because strangely this feature isn't listed in the detailed document listing the various options for each trim level on UK models.

I have a sneaky suspension that this feature actually comes with the memory seats (because the mirrors auto-adjust with the seat position). It would be interesting to know if anyone has the tilting reverse mirrors but not the memory seats?

Alternatively, it could be a fluke, similarly to how my car has pop-out door handles, which it is not meant to have.

This was discussed when the cars first started arriving on UK shores. Bottom line is it is indeed chance if you have the feature like the pop-out door handles. My Ultimate does not jave them like most Ultimates.

Have an ultimate on order and due January / February
From what i can we her and elsewhere an I correct in saying UK spec vehicles do not have the dipping wing mirOrr’s to aid parking (i do find this very useful)
Also no front fog lights

Just checked the spec sheets and cant see either listed, such a surprise omission on a vehicle costing so much and standard on much lesser machines!

I don't think any Ultimates have the pop out handles, just the P45, at least here in the UK. My Ultimate doesn't.

The mirrors do dip though.

I am in US, and have a 2023 RWD, SEL model, I tired it and did not work! this is such a disappointing for almost a $55,000 car!
I have a perfect camera that is much better than dipping mirrors. When the ‘Top View Parking Guidance’ is selected, parking guidance is displayed on the right side of the Surround View Monitor screen.
