I'm still figuring things out on a new (to me) 2020 Ioniq that we bought last month. We just upgraded the system software (slow process, but it's a massive file) and it seems something is wrong -- the reverse camera stays on even after I have shifted to D and am moving forward. The only way I can seem to turn it off is to stop, put the car in P, then D and move forward without the rear camera on.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, or has the system upgrade introduce this strange behaviour?

I wonder what other quirks the new upgrade will bring...and whether Hyundai will send out a fix. How does this work?

Thanks for any insights anyone has.

After the latest update the reverse camera does seem to stay on for longer than it did but in ours it does eventually turn off.
*Edit just check and ours turns off with the setting on at 10mph but stays on as long as you're under it. Remained on driving around a car park after reversing up a bit. Pushing the camera button will deactivate it while going forward.

There is a setting for Extend rear camera use whuch you can turn off. You can find it under

Thanks, most helpful. Gotta love when software updates change settings that were fine as they were...

That's why I try not to update such things, it's the same smartphones, the update fixes a couple of niggly issues, but introduces half a dozen more.

We are all creatures of habit, now I’m not suggesting for one minute there are no bugs in new software releases as I’m sure there are. But we all notice change however slight, this may be a bug or simply a change of timing within the newer coding?

I like this setting, there is one street I park in regularly that needs a 3 or more point turn, and its really useful to have the camera stay on during the manoeuvre.

It appeared a few updates back (was queried by someone on here at the time), and I've kept it enabled ever since.
