I think Hyundai doesn't come up with trim names. Each country is run by a subsidiary...Hyundai USA, Hyundai Canada, Hyundai Europe, etc. These subsidiaries have teams define packages of options, based on needs of a country, buying patterns, etc. So the packages get names, often based on that countries normal naming conventions, or societal norms. In the USA, Limited has been used for many decades to denote higher end trims, and is normally associate with a limited edition (exclusive) product and connotes a luxury option. But, in other countries, Limited may be interpreted literally, meaning it has limited options.
Kind of brings memories of past naming faux pas like the Chevy Nova, which in Spanish countries translates to No Go. No wonder the Nova never sold well in some countries!
A top level trim in Canada may lack a sunroof because Canadians find it undesirable due to harsh climate conditions, where it may be an attractive option in southern US states with moderate climate conditions. Many people choose the lower SE or SEL trim levels in the US simply because they don't want a sunroof. I found it nearly impossible to locate a RWD in Colorado, but it is difficult to find AWD in Arizona.
A friend of mine is currently shopping for an EV6. He looked all over the state for AWD because he has a second home in Flagstaff and goes skiing many times in winter months. I realize many aren't aware, but Flagstaff, AZ gets a lot of snow! The first storm I encountered when I lived there was 4 feet, and the coldest weather I have ever endured (including nearly 30 years in Colorado) was -30 to -45F for close to a week in Flagstaff. He couldn't find any good options for AWD so he has put a deposit on a lightly used one in Denver and will fly up there Thursday and drive it back to Tucson.
In the past, you could pick and choose your own options, but that made inventory and ordering challenging, it tends to be an inefficient way to sell cars. So the country teams decide what combo of features, and corresponding pricing will work in their region and that becomes a standard bill of materials (BOM) for ordering. Notice how the trim level is absent from many modern cars? It is because the trim level is fluid at the manufacturing level. And the days of ordering with or without specific options are mostly gone in order to optimize ordering and inventory.
