I think there's a setting in the menus where you can adjust how the car responds on smart cruise control with settings SLOW, NORMAL and FAST.I find that if you have smart cruise control on then I think it burns petrol because it's constantly braking and then accelerating quite hard... So it's fun but not great for fuel I bet.... maybe why my first tank was quite poor mpg, I was playing with it a lot.
That makes sense. If the car ahead brakes, you'd better not stick to any "slow" reaction ... >i have been playing with this on my car and smart cruise
the setting only seems to affect the "catch up" acceleration and not any braking the smart cruise does to adjust its speed
hello bluecar 1
so if i use the brake pedals it will charge the battery?
when i pick the car up.i be on the motoway for 14 miles
till i get home.
Gears make cars go. Brakes make cars stop.Regenerative Braking. Does this mean that to charge up the battery you have to hit the brakes?? I am in the habit of using gears (Sports Mode) to slow down where possible. This saves on brake pads of course, but should I use the brakes instead to keep the battery charged as fully as possible?
