Hi,

I've been using the navigation updates site here:

and noticed there haven't been any new updates for over a year (they used to be every six months).

Has Hyundai stopped releasing updates for download? (I'm guessing the newer cars get their updates OTA now.)

Thanks.

In Australia they pledge yearly nav updates for 5 years if you get your car serviced by one of their centres. Though this cant work with the self updater that doesnt appear restricted. The 28kW Ioniq we only got in 2019 and the last update here was Nov 2023 so is within that window. 2018 cars would fall out of that. Be interesting if the 28 drops off this year.

We have got more than 1 update in a year but mostly once a year.

My Apr 2017 28kW last Nav update was the same as yours 2023-11-06 which is more than 6 yrs since first registration. Admittedly updates seem to be less frequent now, but I assume they are still happening and the next will appear towards the end of this year about 1yr since the last.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I got confused as it's not been over a year since the Oct 2023 update! Guess I was worrying that this free update service was going to be taken away...

If the upstream map source has slipped for some reason then that would explain it - Hyundai Mapcare | Customer Login

Having free map updates is one of the things I like about this car! Otherwise I'd have to switch to GMaps via Android Play which is just messy.

I wonder if there is a way to update the SD card directly or side load the updates, should they stop supporting this at some point?

Привет всем! У меня Ioniq 2020

in Case anyone can help Aleksodesskiy, a rough translation of his query is as follows:

Hello everyone! I have an Ioniq 2020

I've been trying to update it to a 23-year update for several days.

But I can't make it work! It doesn't read the flash drive!

I'm downloading the file to my laptop with the program

Apdater navigation. then I format the 64 GB flash drive in exFat 32 format.

Then I copy the files to it!

I inserted it into the usb port, the machine doesn't want to read (((

And looks like we have another delay for the V18.0 software update... spotted this on the MapNSoft web site this morning...
Ugh, my head unit has been getting a little glitchy, and I've been hoping that a refresh of the flash ROM with the next update will cure it. Hopefully it holds out long enough to get there...

Ioniq Ev 22 Plate UK: I updated mine the other day, Bluelink reports that the update failed yet it went through the process with the usb stick in rebooted and headunit reported it as a success. Same thing happened with the Oct 23 update and that worked fine too as I got all the POI places etc... Not noticed anything different to be honest. Had the car around a month and still loving it.
