Thought I would share what my car has on its 17" rims. Car has Michelin Primacy 3s on it. I think they are good tyres for fuel efficiency, but I don't think they are strictly "eco" tyres. I am very happy though that they are A rated for wet weather. That's always my first thought with tyres.

The 17'' tyres for the Ioniq are low profile tyres so they are bound to generate more fuel consumption and more emissions than standard profile tyres. They are bound to be wider than standard profile tyres, and therefore generate more aerodynamic drag. And they must be fit on bigger, heavier wheels. So low profile and eco are a contradiction.

Having said that, I also drive the Ioniq on 17'' Michelin Primacy 3s, and I find them very pleasant, at once maneuverable and smooth. Braking distance in wet weather is also very important for me.
