Ioniq5 design derived from old pony car. I still preferred to call pony-e instead of ioniq5. I debadged Hyundai logos. I like "the rear look" of Korean version rear garnish assembly panel which does not have Hyundai logo so I brought the part from Korea and installed it and removed Ioniq5 letters too. It looks clean rear look now.

I tried to make a good quality front pony emblem but it's very expensive to make in US so I might make one with metal material or even carbon fiber material emblem when I visit in Korea again since it's cheaper to make there. I used 3d printing service and painted. I should do more paint preps though... anyway it came out decent looking.

I sprayed color shifting paint. I have digital teal color and I can see either slightly greenish color or purple color from the emblem. If I get bored with the logo color, I might cut new color decal film and applying it so I can have fresh new logo colors.

I did not like morse code emblem. somewhat reason, it does not look good...... probably the huge size of front emblem might be the reason so I was worried that any logo might not look good but I think it's better than Hyundai or morse code emblem.

now I need to find a way to get rid of wheel cap Hyundai logo. easiest solution will be "N" logo hub cap but I prefer pony hub cap too so I made a prototype but when I rotate tires then direction of images will be reversed so I need to remove the hub caps and rearrange hub caps but it's too much to do... maybe I might need to make custom hub caps......

Whoa, how did you order the rear garnish panel? Did you get it shipped to the US from Korea? and did it come painted? I wanted to get the same look there, but "settled" on painting the logo matte black. Would love to replace the whole panel with one that doesn't have the stamped logo spot.

I've used LaserBoost before for cutting brass and aluminum - you might want to check them out for cutting your logos. They're not too expensive, even with shipping from Spain.
When I visited in Korea, I brought the part. The part was too long so I almost gave up to bring it to US since shipping fee was too much (quoted between $350-650 for the shipping fee). Fortunately my airline accept it as oversized package and paid extra. My package was perfect shape until connection flight airport then I saw my package was flying to load into connection flight. As I expected, the box was damaged and one part had slight paint damage at edge (I brought two for “just in case”.

Yes. The part is painted. It was not easy to install since it’s the first time I’ve done it but After I finished to install, I think I can do easily next time haha.

Good to know. I will check it out if I have an issue with current logo.
Honestly, I prefer to make the logo in Korea so I can visit shops in-person and choose materials and make exactly what I wanted…

I love it; I can see why other wouldn’t but some people like their steak uber rare while some like well done. Different folks w/ different strokes.
I born in Korea but lives in US longer than Korea now. I always remembered Pony brand as a powerful brand in Korea. Our family’s first car was pony and my wife’s first family car was pony too. That’s why Hyundai emphasized heritage of pony brand. I less care about what other people think the pony logo since the logo is slightly different than Mach-e mustang logo. Honestly, I was a subie guy and I will ride Subaru for rest of my life. I’ve never thought I will buy Hyundai in my lifetime but as soon as I saw Project 45, I immediately thought “that’s what I want for next and ditched Subaru brand since solterra is just a joke comparing Ioniq5.
I remember many people hate to Mach-e has mustang logo hahaha.

No need to justify unless you want to. However, if you post something on the internet, society tells us that good or bad people will comment. I used to think about posts that I don’t like personally, eh, I don’t like, I will just move on but nowadays, people feel the need to express it. Just the way it is.
Somewhat reason, my childhood memory of pony brand was very strong even though I’ve never thought I will buy Hyundai. I take criticisms well since my entire life was dealing with criticisms haha.

Interesting fact it was known as a Korean power brand. I wanted to ask when in Korea, did Hyundai use the pony horse logo originally in the Pony car or did you come up with the design?

Unfortunately in Canada, the original first pony never made it to Canada until the mid early 83's model.
The pony logo and pony letter logo were from original logo. I only added “e” for pony logo letters.
Here is ad.

Also the pony logo was used for pony coupe too.

Giugiaro will rebuild pony coupe in this spring since Hyundai lost original pony coupe. Looking forward to see pony coupe and hoping for production version of vision 74.
