If your commute is within the car's range, why not?

IMO the problem are the sales guys. They know nothing about EVs so they can't give proper advice to anyone buying one. No one should buy an EV without proper information on how EVs (and all vehicles in general, EVs just have a smaller energy buffer) range varies with speed, AC, etc...

Here we read stories all the time like this (and we don't have anything THAT cold). People buy a 30kWh Leaf which is rated at 250km, then they go to the highway at 130km/h only to find out that it barely makes 120km. People get the cars without any information on how to charge it outside. Of course the experience is bad...
IMO anyone who buys a mid-price EV needs to have realistic expectations, not the marketing nonsense.
