Ioniq 6 V2L adapter removal

I bought a generic adapter from a Canadian company. Happy with it. Works fine. First time I tried to disconnect it I was able to but since then I have had to use the emergency cord in the trunk. Owner's manual says V2Ls are locked during use regardless of the settings. My adapter does not have an on/off switch so that may be part of the problem with it not being removable like it should although disconnecting any appliances and unlocking the car should accomplish the same thing as off/on switch on the OEM adapter. Since I plan to use my adapter only during infrequent power outages, having to disconnect via the trunk pull cord is not a big deal to me.
Yeah, mine (from EVCONN) works fine too, but I always have to release it using the trunk pull cord. I suspect it is, like you mention, because it doesn't have an on-off switch.
