I've had my late 2023 MY Ioniq 6 Ultimate for about 5 months now and the Driver Attention Warning system seems to be working very inconsistently. I'm posting this thread in the hope that either other owners are getting the same problem, or ideally find someone who can provide a solution.
The infotainment system software version in my car is: CE_E.EUR.S5W_l.001.001.231102. I believe this is the latest version but I've struggled to find anywhere on the Hyundai Europe software update pages that confirms this?
I previously had a Kona EV and on that I could alter the settings of the DAW system. There were 4 settings to vary the sensitivity of the warning system but there is no way to alter the sensitivity of the DAW on the Ioniq 6. According to the user manual the DAW is supposed to reset to 'High' attention level after the car has been stopped and turned off. This makes sense as the software code has clearly been written on the basis the driver is now taking a break, so will come back to the car refreshed and with a high state of alertness.
But what I'm finding is that quite often the system sounds the alarm and advises me to 'Consider Taking a Break' after I've only been driving for a few minutes, in broad daylight, after a good night's sleep! It wouldn't be so annoying if it just beeped once and displayed the message. But it beeps 5 or 6 times and is tiresome to put it mildly!
I've spoken to my dealer but they have been unable to help.
I then started wondering what might be causing the system to issue seemingly random warnings. I live in the UK where many roads are in an awful state of repair due to poor maintenance. There are potholes are all over the place and you often have to take evasive action to avoid hitting them. I'm starting to wonder if the movement of the car avoiding potholes is making the DAW think the driver is driving erratically, or starting to fall asleep?
I'd love to hear from anyone else who may be struggling with this particular safety system. And if anyone can provide a solution to stop false alarms I'd be very grateful.

I just put a sticker over the camera to block it. It does mean I have no LKAS/LFA/HDA and no speed warnings anymore (it sometimes still beeps for going too fast for some reason, so in that case I still need to disable it in the menu), but for me that's a win. It does beep once for each system that was impacted, so 4 beeps in total. And for some reason this is sometimes repeated after a half an hour to an hour of driving.
