At the very least, some kind if isolation switch that 100% isolates your house from the grid, otherwise you'll be powering 1/3 of the street! But could be useful if you live say on isolated island all by yourself? Or your grid supply is unreliable?

I wouldn't put cycles on my car HV battery by pluging it into my house! That will just shorten its life. I do have a PV system installed and the only batteries I will ever use will be dedicated to my house, and not my car. Also unlike my car battery, LiFePo4 batteries are cheap and pretty straightforward to connect and use.

It would have to be something that is done through the wall box. And yes maybe you would power the street or just your house. It would depend on what kind of deal you have with your utility company. I think any combination you can imagen ist technically possible. Maybe you let them store energy from Solar power or wind in you battery and they don't charge you for using what you need...
