I read an article about it. They actually have a setting where engine noise is pumped into internal and external speakers! They also have the engine pause temporarily to pretend to have shift points. Crazy stuff. Really fighting the temptation to want one but wanting a rear wiper doesn’t help lol.

 

I mean, it could be worse. They could be selling really horrible EVs for IONIQ 5 money like toyota while pursuing 'ev manual transmissions' - at least the E-GMP cars aren't trash . Also, to answer the question seriously, Elantra N, Veloster N, Kona N, and non hyndai 'performance' ice oriented folks not yet in EVs yet. I'm not surprised given how much money toyota and stelantis are spending on fake ice synthesis for their stillborn EVs.

I was not a fan of fake sounds but it’s better than I thought when I watched video of Korean youtuber who is retired racing driver. His review was really nice and I want it after I watched the video but I don’t need that speed hahaha. Also gear shifting features look nicer than I thought. All these features can be turned off so it’s not a big deal. It’s still prototype stage but it can be really fun to drive.
