I had to take a trip for work yesterday - North of Sheff to Coventry, 95 miles each way so a 190 mile round trip.
My spring/summer average for the last 5000k miles is showing 5.8 mpkWh and the car's indicated range was 210+ miles so I thought I'd give the Ioniq 38.3 a go.

Being slightly beyond the range comfort zone (and importantly, on works time) I thought I'd try hypermiling it to be sure of success: Adjusting route to avoid hills and reduce distance going through Sheffield, flow driving techniques, tyres 2psi overinflated, 62mph motorway, naughty slipstreaming large vehicles, but not ludicrously close. Conditions were close to ideal; dry, temperature in the teens °C, roads uncongested.

Ended up using 36% on the way there and 37% on the way back, so 27% remaining after a 190 mile motorway trip.
Indicated trip efficiency was 6.8 mpk.
Extrapolated, the range would be 260 miles 100 - 0%.

Keen to hear all about yours' efficiency (especially if it beats this in some way)!

August this year, pootling around Norfolk fens, visiting Beccles etc on holiday. wih my wife. probably didn't exceed 45mph on this little ramble! Nice hot sunny weather, ideal conditions.
No hypermiling techniques needed, wasn't much traffic at all so easy to go v gently w/o upsetting anyone.
38.3 kWh * 7.0 extrapolates to 268 mile range estimated.

Did a gentle drive the other day and drove 48km from 100% to 91%. This would have given us a range of 530km lol if the percentage is to be believed. Round trip back to home so no change in overall elevation.
9.4 does not addup with these two figures.

9.4kWh/100km = 6.6mi/kWh.

But by the percentage and distance it is closer to 7.0mi/kWh

Hi everyone. I'm still yet to purchase a 38kwh ioniq, but basing your efficiency figure and your types of driving I can see, I can't wait to get one. Ive always got good mpg out of most cars, matching or exceeding the official mpgs. I had a focus 1.0 ecoboost that got 65mpg regular. Now got Mondeo diesel 2.0 and get 75mpg. It's just the drive to work and back along rural quiet roads that enable this.
So I'm sure I could be up there with the rest of you when I've got an ioniq electric.

After a couple of long holiday trips this summer with my 38kWh in good weather and flat landscape, I have realized that speed is the greatest enemy. As long as you stay between 60-70km/h (37-43mph) on small winding roads without hurry, you can drive efficiently! Also found a "certificate of authenticity" among the car's papers, which also states the range in city traffic, max 50km/h (30mph)? to 412km (256miles).
