I've got the Ioniq PHEV. It's summer time here where I am and my commute to work and back plus errands doesn't require me to run on gas at all. I am wondering though, is not ever using gas bad for the gas motor? Do I need to run it every so often to keep it in good shape for the winter, or is it totally fine to go weeks or months at a time without running on gas?

It will start itself from time to time to flow oil through all the passages (and tell you that's what its doing on the dash display), though it probably won't get up to full operating temperature to deal with condensation. The bigger concern is probably the gas getting stale in the tank, I don't know how long that takes to happen or what the ramifications of it are. Maybe just pour in some stabilizer for insurance.
My phev starts almost every time. In summer I suppose it detects below required temperature in the footspace and starts the ice to produce a little heat. I use the hvac on/off button a lot in order to control the timing of the ice starting.
